This Sake has a full mouth feel and some sweetness at the beginning. The flavor of this Sake is bigger than other Seitoku Sake but it still has good balance. Very good with big flavor foods like mapo tofu.

Yokoyama Sake Brewery, Fukazawa Sake Brewery, Amaraku Sake Brewery, and Baba Sake Brewery merged in 1959 for the purpose of joint bottling and sales. The name "Shotoku" was given by the chief priest of Kanzen Shrine, the first shrine in Jyoshu, in honor of Prince Shotoku's teaching of "Harmonious and Honorable. It's kind of a refreshing sake. All the flavors seem to point in different directions. It is neither sweet nor sour, neither spicy nor bitter, nor is it halfway between the two. The legs are thin, but with a slight yellowish tinge, and are plentiful.

The second nigori this season is the effervescent type! When you've been moving around at work all day, the effervescent type shines 😋. When you open the bottle and pour it, the aroma is fresh, like melon or pear. The mouthfeel is refreshing with gas and the coolness that is typical of Gunma sake. It has a smooth rice sweetness and a dry astringent sharpness that comes towards the end. When the lees are mixed in, the green apple and pear-like floral and sweetness increases, but the crispness of the gaseous and acidic astringency is originally strong, so it is a delicious taste that can be enjoyed with gusto ✨. A bottle that warns against drinking too much! It is a well-balanced wine between "Akagisan Nigori" and "Hizirizm"👍.

According to the Food Labeling Law, it seems that the manufacturer is the one who actually produced the product and the processing plant means the place where it was bottled. It was unnecessary. Houou Seitoku Junmai Ginjo Genshu 16% 60% Maikaze 720ml 1504 yen Purchased at a roadside station in Amaraku, Gunma Prefecture. To be honest, I did not have high expectations, but the taste made me think I might like it a lot. It has a strong rice flavor, soy sauce, a Japanese flavor like rice bran, and a gentle fruity sweetness. The tangy taste? Some people may be bothered by the "mash" taste, but it is a very unique taste. Maikaze from Gunma Prefecture is used. Gunma 227 yeast is said to produce a rich and gentle finish. When it was first developed, it was difficult to dissolve the rice, but in recent years, the yeast has been changing or has adapted well. I am speculating, but I think it would be better to choose this yeast over others. I'm just making a judgment based on the label. But I recommend this one. I bought this at a liquor store in Maebashi. It is an unfamiliar brand, but the owner recommended it, so my expectations were high. When opened, it was fruity and delicious, with a sense of gas. The aftertaste is a little sourness that tightens it up. I will buy it again when I visit Gunma.

I think it was around November last year, I had a chance to visit Tomioka Silk Mill for work. On that occasion, I bought this Houou Seitoku😎 at a liquor store in the shopping arcade across the street. The name was completely new to me, and I had it with both anticipation and apprehension. The aroma has a slight sweetness to it. It has a gentle, full mouthfeel. The acidity is low. After the sweetness, which is like a diluted mixture of wasanbon and rinto, the delicious taste of rice emerges 😁. Furthermore, the astringent taste of the skin side of the mandarin orange appeared briefly, and the astringent sweetness stayed for a while at the end. It becomes sweet and sour when you take a bite 🤤. When served hot, it has a mild and smooth mouthfeel with a pleasant rice flavor 😚. It has a nice sweet and sour taste with a hint of acidity, so it goes well with a meal.
