The first bottle of the year. Soft acidity and a clean taste. I drank it alternately with Tasake's Zodiac label, which seemed similar in type, but this one was slightly sweeter. Both were, of course, delicious!

I bought them together to compare them with my last Akitsuho 657. However, since it was a week apart, I couldn't make a solid comparison💦. I felt that the ice storage made it less gassy and more flavorful than the original.

I developed a high fever on Saturday afternoon, 6/24, and tested positive for new type corona on Monday, 6/26💦. After a week of fever followed by a raging sore throat, joint pain, coughing, and loss of sense of smell, I finally got over it💦. So, here's my get well celebration (lol). Oh no, it's a delicious, body-sickening experience! Even more so since I had lost the energy to drink during the Corona. Please take care everyone.

It is 🍶 from Honda Shoten, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. I purchased it from a liquor store's hanpukai. It is said to be the brewer's challenge sake, brewed with a new variety called "Shinryu Nishiki" which is a cross between Yamadanishiki and Shinryoku. It is excellent as a food sake rather than served without an entrée. The sake shop recommends drinking it well chilled, but it is also possible to warm it up. Alcohol level: 16%.
