Banshu Ikkyo is locally distributed.
It is a clear, clean sake with virtually no alkaloids. Muscat and citrus flavors. It has sweetness, but it is also dry and crisp. I wish they would sell this all over Japan. I think it's interesting because it's the opposite type of Masamune.
It tastes fresh, as if it was once-fired.
It may not be as popular as the sake for special stores, but I think it's a versatile sake that can be served cold or warmed.
It can be matched with various types of food.

Thanks Pon-chan 🙇.
The rice used for the Honjozo is not disclosed, but looking at the official website, it seems that the Junmai and above are made with different rice for local distribution and for special dealers 🤔.
I thought it was a high-grade honjozo without any alkaloids.
