It is sweet because it is a kijo-shu, but the acidity, which is typical of Shinsei, is more refreshing than expected. I think the crispness makes it less like a kijo-zake.

Comparison of Akabu and Sengoku Sakura The aroma is like muscat, and this one is sweet and sour as well, but the taste is different from the juicy flavor of Sengoku, which has a refreshing acidity. My wife and I prefer Akabu's Sakura. It's also 12%, so it'll be gone today💦.

The first Shinshu Kamerei I ever had. Gorgeous aroma like muscat Good balance of sweetness, sourness and bitterness. I was surprised that it tasted better than I expected. Quite my favorite taste! No wonder it's so popular!

When I visited a liquor store in the northern part of the prefecture, I made a trip to Ichinoseki to get a bottle of Akabu, which is distributed only in Iwate Prefecture. The taste is crisp and refreshing, perhaps because it's a fresh sake! The aroma is mild, a bit like a classic Akabu.

Nice to meet you, Yokoyama. I thought it was more fruity based on the liquor store's description, but the aroma is milder than I expected? Was it too cold? It smells a little bit like cemetery and maybe it's not my favorite type of wine.
