Nabeshimaきたしずく 純米大吟醸
satocha
I had been wanting to drink it for a while and got a bottle of Nabeshima at a well-known sake store near Saga Station.
I asked the owner what the difference was between Nabeshima Classic and Kitashizuku, and was told that Classic was dry and easy to drink, while Kitashizuku was more floral. When I asked him which was more Nabeshima-like, he recommended the Kitashizuku, and I chose the Kitashizuku to get the full flavor of Nabeshima.
We opened the bottle with trepidation due to the warning against fizzing. My fears were unfounded. It was a chili type of slight fizzing, which was delicious.... The fruity sweetness was not too sticky, and the deliciousness of the rice spread across the palate, making it very elegant and gorgeous, just as the word of mouth had said.
Even I, a dry sake drinker, could tell that it was delicious.
