Sake with 8.5% alcohol by volume
Recently trendy? A sake based on the concept of "casual sake".
It is lighter and easier to drink than regular sake, but still has the flavor of sake.
We reserved this bottle because it was an unfiltered Otter Tankoba Kumi.
I was told that blue cheese would go well with the past pairings of vatoba-kumi, so I prepared blue cheese as well.
For a beginner, I found the pairing with hon tuna to be very tasty.
It was clean and very easy to drink with a fruity aroma.
This sake was a gift from Fukushima. I was told that lukewarm heating was recommended, so I microwaved the chilled sake and tasted it hot and then lukewarm.
The unique aroma of the sake was so pleasant to the nose. I felt it was easier for beginners to drink lukewarm than hot.
It is said to be a raw sake with an alcohol content of between 17% and 18%, so one would expect it to be harsh, but it is very fragrant and has a full flavor. It is delicious.
