I have had it with chanchan-yaki (grilled salmon), and it melts the fat of the salmon! And it goes perfectly with chilled tofu 👍Sashimi would be good too! I don't have any today! So I opened the bottle! The top aroma is rather subdued, but there is a faint apple-like aroma. The first thing that hits the palate is a smooth sweetness, and the flavor of the rice spreads smoothly. Then, a dry acidity fills the mouth, and a sharpness reminiscent of the light dryness that is common in Niigata sake flows down the back of the throat. The aftertaste is crisp! This is definitely a perfect food sake! It seems to go well with a wide range of food from fatty food to crispy food 😆 Today I paired it with chicken dishes, but it also goes well with light flavors. It is indeed a sake brewed from Sasanishiki! In addition, it also removes the characteristic smell of chicken! Sake from Miyagi Prefecture, but probably only available in Miyagi Prefecture! That is Kun-Yo! The brewer is Hagino Shuzo, famous for "Haginotsuru" and other sake. The label looks cool, like it's inspired by the image of the earth! Roughly speaking, I found out that "KON-YOSHI" means "earth" in Japanese. So I opened the bottle! The first thing you smell is a slight refreshing grassy aroma and a slightly sweet pear-like aroma. In the mouth, the pear-like sweetness is quickly followed by a slightly strong acidity. The lingering aftertaste is slightly more dry. The flavor spreads quickly in the mouth, but as it goes down the throat, you feel a heavy weight. However, the overall taste is cohesive and very elegant. I heard that this sake can also be served warmed, so I would like to try it even though it is still hot! Sake from Miyagi is very deep! It's been two years since I've had the desire to drink it. Finally, I was able to drink it. My unrequited love that has been growing will finally be fulfilled! So, I started to drink it...hmmm! Oops! I felt a shock on my ring finger, which was supporting the bottle so as not to repeat the mistake I made before when the bottle was opened and the stopper blew away! It may be a characteristic of nama-shu, but it has a very fizzy feeling! What was that? I almost thought I had bought a sparkling sake, as if the bottle was going to blow out. Watch out, watch out... When I opened the bottle without incident, I was greeted by the unique aroma of Yamadanishiki. When I poured it into a tokkuri (Japanese sake cup), I got a great fizzy feeling! Is this what the land of origin is like? When you put it in your mouth, you will feel the refreshing fizziness and the elegant sweetness unique to Yamadanishiki, and the strong carbonation will go down your throat and leave you with the most refreshing feeling. Combined with the refreshing low alcohol content, it finishes very nicely. It is not a summer sake, but it is a summer sake! I finally had a chance to drink it.
