Buko-Shuzo, Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan - HIYAROSHI (Hiyari-oshi)
This sake is a very robust and drinkable sake compared to the usual Hiyoroshi sake.
It has a strong, mature taste and goes well with strong-flavored snacks.
I bought it at Seibu-Chichibu station the other day, attracted by the name.
Contrary to the image of the name, it is surprisingly sweet and easy to drink.
Opened on September 28, 2024
Purchased after tasting at the brewery
Honjozo and mellow ^ ^.
It has a traditional aroma, but also very soft and full of sweetness😊.
It also has the fruity feel of a raw sake, for evening drinking, and I can stand to drink this one alone 😉.
Purchased at a roadside station in Chichibu. It is smooth and has a slight sweetness, but has a clean aftertaste. It goes well with the strong taste of eel.
As with my previous Chichibu Nishiki post, I bought this when I made a pilgrimage to an anime sanctuary in Chichibu.
First brand name
I was told that this sake is only available during the shiba-zakura blooming period.
I visited at the end of summer, so next time I'd love to visit during the blooming season ✊.
Cold sake
Good ginjo aroma.
Light but mellow and full-bodied from the mid-palate.
Like Chichibu Nishiki, many Chichibu sake are classic?
Short aftertaste.
Pair it with strong flavored food.
It is good at room temperature, but I prefer it cold.
Rice polishing ratio: 60
Alcohol content: 18
I bought this bottle after finding it at a hot spring facility during a day trip to Chichibu.
The flavor is even richer than the aroma suggests.
It has a strong flavor and alcohol content that makes it an excellent dry sake, and it is very drinkable.
It is delicious cold, but I think the mellow taste and aroma are more strongly felt at room temperature.
