Rooster Yoemon from Kawamura Sake Brewery in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. This sake is famous for its sour taste, which is rare in Iwate Prefecture. I drank it for the first time at a store in Hanamaki and was surprised by the sourness. It seemed to be quite a challenge since Iwate is generally known for its sweet and tasty sake. Even so, I heard that the owner stubbornly continued to make sour sake. (^○^) Nowadays, with the Shinsai boom, Yoemon's sour sake is also selling well, especially outside of the prefecture. I left it in the hallway for 3 years. For various reasons, you don't see it much these days, but I used to drink it often at izakaya (Japanese style pubs). ( ´´▽｀)🍶🍶🍶🍶 Today we had our first Yui Yui Hitachinomegumi, which we purchased on our GW trip 😀. After purchasing it, I was disappointed to learn that the brewery was destroyed by fire. I hope to drink some of the Yuki Sake Brewery's sake and hope it is rebuilt 🥺. The aroma is mild and also has a mild rice flavor, combined with a pleasant acidity 🤔 with a clean aftertaste 😚 It is a beautiful sake and I would like to have the basic Yui label next time 😊.

The third drink at Kaku-uchi When we were told that it was time to go home, we chose for our last drink the miraculous Yui Yui sake that was rescued from the scene of a fire^ ^ ^. It has a refreshing taste... and you feel refreshed after drinking it! It's just so easy to drink! And delicious! I would like to try this sake with a meal next time. I sincerely hope the brewery recovers as soon as possible 🙏. A little something extra... I could not eat the snack of Kishu Nanko Ume because they were out of stock due to the heat of the day (T . Suehiro Shuzo's Genzai. They also won a gold medal at the New Sake Competition for their Genzai daiginjo, but this is not that award-winning sake, but an affordable special junmai. It starts off with a piquant and refreshing sweet and sour taste! The taste is powerful with a strong sense of presence, but the alcohol content of 15 degrees makes it easy to drink and enjoy 👌. We are looking forward to adding this sake to our lineup next year and beyond 😊.

Sake brewed at Suehiro Shuzo's Kaei warehouse. When I hear the name "Genzai," I think of the daiginjo that was entered in the sake competition. I hesitate to buy it because it is a bit expensive, but this special junmai sake (nama-shu, hi-iru) is reasonably priced and easy to pick up. I am looking forward to the next year, when there will be more varieties of sake. As for the sake, the aroma is like apples. When I drank it, I smelled cemedine😅. The sake is fresh and has a tangy, gaseous taste. The sweetness is moderate and the acidity is strong. I thought maybe I don't like cemedine, but I drank more than half of it in no time and regretted it. It is easy to drink. The second day, the cemedine is also good. If this is the case, it's a special pure Cemedine.

The last sake I purchased on my GW Niigata trip. I opened Hishiko. As stated on the label, it had a mellow sweet sake quality that brought out the aroma of the yeast, the umami of the rice, and a beautiful sweetness. It has a clean aftertaste, making it an excellent choice as a mealtime sake. I would like to try it again on my wonderful trip to Niigata.

I heard a voice actor say that the sake of Yamaguchi Prefecture is delicious ottersai, but Toyo Bijin! So I bought it. This is my first Toyo Bijin. I had drunk Yachiyo Shuzo's Room twice and wondered what kind of Toyo Bijin was in its class, but I happened to find it at a store I had been visiting for a while, so I bought it on the spur of the moment! The standing aroma is tropical and a bit gorgeous with pineapple and melon fruits. Is this the sweetness of Oriental Beauty? The sweetness is firm but moist and not stinging! There is also an impression of peach in addition to the fruits mentioned earlier. It is sweet, but not unpleasantly so, and has a very elegant bitterness, so it can be paired with appetizers, such as salads and cheese. This is the taste of Miyamanishiki of Hanahayo and Junodai of Hachitanishiki, right? This is delicious!
