This Sake is a nice change from what I have been drinking recently. It has a sugary sweetness similar to a ripe muscat. There is a Medium mouth feel followed by a slight dryness at the finish for a clean aftertaste. Delicious. 😋

It is refreshing and easy to drink. The menu said it was dry, but I only felt a slight spiciness in the aftertaste. We were about to eat fried food, so it was a perfect pairing 😆.

Low-polished Junmai-shu from Yamatsuru, a local sake brewery in Ikoma, Nara. The name is Choyao. It was a gift, but it looks like it will cost a fortune💧. I heard it was brewed using a method described in a wooden letter from the Nara period. I wonder if it is true. Anyway, let's try it. Wow! It is indeed as rich and sweet as I had heard! OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑧ This is another unknown sake brewery, Yukijaku Sake Brewery. It is made from Yamada-Nishiki with a 38% rice polishing ratio and unfiltered. According to the official website, there are two types of sake: hi-ire and nama, but the one I drank was probably hi-ire. I think it was fruity and quite sweet 🤔. Forgot to take notes💦.

The aroma of this year's product is a little subdued. I like that mewashi aroma, though. The mouthfeel is strong and dark, and the harmony of umami and sweetness is wonderful! It is a departure from the low-alcohol, light summer sake style, and is more like a munchy, dirty summer night. Despite the strong flavor, the sharpness of the sake is very refreshing, so it is easy to drink. Of all the summer liquors, this one is my favorite. Thank you very much for your kindness!
