Sake from Fukushima
Hirotogawa Junmai Nigori Nama
Hirotogawa is becoming more and more popular every year and is becoming more and more difficult to obtain. One of the most popular is this Junmai Nigori sake. I made a reservation at the liquor store where I usually buy sake to get it.
Hirotogawa's junmai daiginjos are so well balanced in terms of sweetness, umami, and acidity that they are so delicious that they make me sigh. This nigori nama-shu has a sweetness and acidity that is even more pronounced than the junmai-ginjo.
It has a fruity sweet aroma and a gentle sweetness like white peaches. The aftertaste, however, is a strong acidity. The alcohol content is 16%, but it is easy to drink. This is delicious.
Sentori's Yukidaruma is the same nigori, but it is slightly more carbonated and has a fresher feel. Hirotogawa Junmai Nigori Nama has a more mature taste.
I like it very much. I will buy a bottle next time.
Degree of liking 10/10
