At a standing bar near my workplace. Unfortunately, no photo because it was a place where photos are not allowed. The snacks were mackerel with ginger and tachi ponzu. Both of them were sour snacks, but both of them were good for sake. Or rather, it is a dry sake that goes well with anything. From the Yonetsuru website This is a "light and dry" junmai sake with both the "richness of junmai sake" and "sharpness" by fermenting the moromi for a longer period of time than normal brewing. A limited edition purchased at Jishu-an Sato (Sato Shoten) in Aomori City. The wine-like label gives the impression of a dry white wine. We enjoyed it with Hokkaido scallops and other foods, and it was gone in no time at all... Aomori's only sake from the neighboring prefecture of Aomori goes well with Hokkaido scallops, Matsumae pickles, squid, etc. 😉.

Dinner buffet + 3 types of locally brewed sake at Art Hotel Hirosaki City where we stayed with a regional discount Since Aomori's local sake was a standard sake that I had drunk before, I selected three types of sake from the Noriguchi Shuzo brewery. Omachi Daiginjo Aizan Yamahai Junmai Ginjo Shizukusake Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki This was an enjoyable comparison that made it easy to tell the difference. Just by looking at the rice used and the production method, it was obvious that all of them were delicious. No doubt about it!

One of the "bargain set" only for the members of A-Sakurakai, the A-Sakura fan club. We stayed at a hotel in the city with a national travel support discount and drank in the room. The snacks were ikamentsuchi, deep-fried tofu, eggplant and okra simmered with ginger, and Iburi ginger flavored rice crackers from Cardi's. The flavor and acidity of Omachi goes well with deep-fried ikamenchi. It also goes well with the strong flavor of Iburi Goko Okaki. Aged tofu is not good with this sake, as it has an alcoholic taste. It might be better to warm it up.

We visited the sake brewery of Narumi Brewery in Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture. After tasting several kinds of sake, I purchased a limited-edition Junmai Ginjo Harajinshu from the brewery, which was delicious with a strong, umami taste. We stayed at a hotel in Hirosaki City, where we received a prefectural discount for drinking sake in our room. For snacks, we bought Aomori side dishes. It's been a while since I've had an evening drink outside. The lunch set is only available on weekends and holidays until 5pm and includes 2 glasses of sake (up to 630 yen) and 5 kinds of snacks. I haven't checked in yet, but Kamishin is a sake brewery that was included in the set of the Oyama Bicchu Jizake Train online tour. Fuyu no tsuki (winter moon), made with white peach yeast, is very sweet and easy to drink, although it doesn't have a white peach flavor, but the alcohol content is a bit high, so be careful.
