I have been away from sake lately, but this one was so good that I decided to record it here. It was sour and refreshing, but not too harsh, and one of my favorites I've ever had.
This sake was recommended to me at a liquor store.
It has a fairly strong flavor that is not overpowered by strong tasting fish. With tuna, which has more fat. It also went well with cheese. It tastes even stronger when heated.
According to the liquor store, you can also drink it with ice.
I received this sake as a gift from my hometown.
The sake is light and easy to drink, but it has a sake-like taste, which I liked very much, and a square of it was gone in no time.
I bought this sake as a souvenir from Niigata.
I wasn't expecting much, since I picked something that wasn't that expensive, but it was so good!
The first taste was of sake, and the aftertaste was a little lingering but refreshing.
I drank this sake at my parents' house.
I remembered Chichibu Nishiki as being a sweeter sake, but it was spicier, and the sake tasted strong but crisp and delicious.
Purchased at Ponshu-kan at Echigo Yuzawa Station.
I wasn't sure if it tasted good because it was raw or not. I wasn't sure if it was because it was fresh or not, but it had a gentle sourness at first and a clean aftertaste! I like this kind of sake! I like this kind of sake!
It is not so habitual, so I got the impression that it goes well with all kinds of food. Surprisingly, it also goes well with spicy food. (I drank it with hot bean curd).
This sake is from the same brewery as the Tsururei sake we had for lunch.
It is crisp, dry, and light! I like it very much. And the cup is cute.
I'm on a trip, but I'm going to take this home with me.
As Niigata has a reputation for having a lot of dry and light sakes, I like all of them because they are crisp and refreshing.
This is a sake I had at a pub. It tastes a little rich or sweet, but has a clean aftertaste. It tastes great with seafood. I had my first taste of leatherfish liver with it, and it was delicious!
We had it with soba and tempura in Niigata. (The photo is before the soba came. I was so engrossed in the tempura that I forgot to take a picture of the soba.)
I really liked this sake with its crisp and clean aftertaste. After drinking it for a while, I think I even felt a little sweetness at first.
Kyo Maiko Hiyoshi
Purchased at a liquor store I passed by.
I bought it because it was inexpensive, and it tasted great!
The first aroma is soft and the rest is refreshing.
It was delicious both chilled and heated.
I drank it with sukiyaki.
PS, I drank it with stewed liver and it went very well.
My favorite sake. It's refreshing but a little sour afterwards. It seems to refresh the smell of seafood. I drank it all cold, but I wonder how it would have been if I warmed it up.
I got some trout but didn't have any sake, so I bought some in a hurry. I'm glad the 7-Eleven near me sells it.
I bought this sake thinking I would like it dry. It was easy to drink without much habit.
Of course it goes well with seafood, but I got the impression that it also goes surprisingly well with meat and hot pot.
The sake department at Bic Camera has a good explanation of the sake, making it easy to choose.
Sake from Aomori. It says it's dry, but it has a slight sourness and a brown sugar-like taste. It is easy to drink and delicious. I think it goes well with Japanese food and sashimi, but it can also be enjoyed on its own without snacks. As the label says, it tastes best at room temperature or slightly warmer than room temperature.
PS: I microwaved one cup for about 40 seconds (about 45 degrees?). The balance of sourness and refreshment was very good and tasty?
Sake ordered at a sushi restaurant. Along with a bowl of seafood and oden. I had decided to only have sake at night, but since the restaurant was not open at night in the market, I allowed myself a special treat.
It was a little sweet? I had the impression that it was a little sweet, and since it was lunchtime, I felt that I had drunk a little too much.
