I bought it last year and let it sit for a while, and while the acidity and bitterness have increased slightly, the overall flavor is mellower and more banana-like. Today's drink of the day is opened here 💁. It is Asakai Junmai Shinshu Nama-Nagara Sake from Iwate Prefecture. The nose is fruity, and in the mouth it is like juicy, fresh apples with a delicious aftertaste that lingers. It is so easy to drink that it is hard to believe that it is 18%. It seems to be brewed with one of Morioka's three famous waters, Daijishinsui. This is a repeat ☺️ #Asakai #Asakai Co.

It's been almost 3 years since I've had a bottle of Yukiten. ☃️ It's as sweet and delicious as ever 😊It feels a little dry and light, but good things are good things 😋. Today's drink of the day is opened here 💁. It is Hirotogawa Junmai Nigori Nama Sake from Fukushima Prefecture. The top aroma is gorgeous and sweet like honey, but it is not that assertive. Once you drink it, the sweet and sour taste that fills your mouth, the umami, and the bitterness are all tightly controlled, and it has a good sharpness. It is a very well-balanced and delicious sake, and I would like to purchase it again this year. On a side note, I made a little mistake when opening the bottle and spilled some 😅. #Hirotogawa #Matsuzaki Sake Brewery

Sweet and gorgeous aroma, light, sweet, fruity and juicy with good acidity on the palate. This one is unmistakably delicious. We opened today's drink 💁. It is Oh Splash PREMIUM produced by Kairindo from Shimane Prefecture. Fruity and pleasant...the aroma of ripe plums tickles your nostrils, and when you put it in your mouth, you are greeted with a sparkling, shwashy sensation. The sweet-sourness that follows makes you smile. The bitterness in the aftertaste also does a good job. It has a great umami flavor and is well balanced in terms of attack and defense, making it a perfect mid-meal sake. It is made entirely from rice grown in Hachioji, and is full of rice flavor, with just the right amount of acidity, bitterness, and pungency, and tastes like a well-ripened banana, if I may use an analogy. This is definitely a repeat customer.

We opened today's drink 💁. It's Sancho 2023 Hozasu Gonozao Special Summer Limited Fuzhensai from Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The bottle was opened with a pop, so some caution is required. ⚠️ The aroma was like an aged plum wine, and in the mouth it tasted like a white wine. It also had a slight piquancy. I think this would go well with roast duck. It's still very hot, so this kind of thing is delicious 😚.
