I discovered Impression when I went out to Mie Prefecture, where I had had a very tasty sake once before at a standing sake bar! It's slightly effervescent, fresh and delicious! Somehow, buying local sake in the area makes it taste even better. Degree of preference: ★★★★☆

I was expecting Toyobai to be quite dry since it is a dry, dry sake with 18% alcohol by volume, but it was delicious even for someone like me who is not that good at dry sake. Because of its high alcohol content, I enjoyed it cool and refreshing on the rocks, perfect for summer. Degree of preference: ★★★★☆

I tried Takachiyo Murasaki Label, which is only available in Niigata Prefecture. It was somehow paler than the Takachiyo I have had in the past, but the aroma was gorgeous and delicious. I paired it with soba noodles and tempura of bamboo shoots and matatabi. It was the first time for me to try matatabi, which cats like. It went well with sake! Degree of liking ★★★☆☆☆☆

I drank a bottle of Hiran made with Nikomaru, a rice for the first time, and also an edible rice. It has a slightly sweet taste with a very strong sense of gas and acidity. The aroma was gorgeous and delicious. Degree of preference: ★★★★☆

Also at a sake brewery in Iwamura. The last one was a freshly squeezed sake from Enahomare. This was very tasty, deep in flavor but easy to drink. Degree of preference: ★★★★☆

We had it at a sake brewery in Iwamura. It was delicious to have it freshly made onsite. They also served dried taro with sake lees as an accompaniment. Degree of liking ★★★☆☆☆☆☆
