Some proper enjoyment after days of hard work! 🤟 Today I have got, Gassan Shuzo, the brand that seduced me into the fabulous world of Japan sake. Thank you very much. Paired with it is the scalded prawns, or 白灼基圍蝦, in Cantonese. The umami in the prawn matches perfectly with this bottle of slightly dry sake!

It’s been over a year and half since my last visit to Japan. I tried this bottle at a bar named 東雲 on Sado island, and it’s instantly become my all time favourite. Its sweet and mellow tastes, with a bubbly texture, still linger in my mind today. Miss it dearly and look forward travelling to Japan soon again
