Active sukuikumi Junmai Okuharima
It is an active nigori sake. We secretly call it an explosive type.
This sake was particularly vigorous. I put it in the freezer for 15 minutes before opening the bottle, but it still exploded.
If it were a normal explosive type, we would open the bottle by slightly opening and closing the screw to release the air little by little, but we could not open this bottle because the lid is a crown, so we had to hold the crown and open the bottle little by little.
I opened it in the bowl from the beginning.
It is a tough sake, but the taste is clean and refreshing.
It is a good gem with a taste of koji as well.
Sanyohai Shuzo Banshu Ikken Junmai Ginjo Nonosan
This sake is easy to drink but has a good balance of rice flavor and not too sweet.
Serve it with salmon namaoro.
Asahitsu Shuzo Junmai Nama Genshu Juji Asahitsu
This is a sake from Shimane.
It's sticky and a little sweet like a nama-gara-shu, but it also has a little semedyne smell, so it's either easy to drink or hard to drink lol.
It's not a fruity sake at all.
It has a complex taste.
This sweetness may have been caused by the fact that I paired it with miso-flavored tori-nabe.
Matsumoto Shuzo Moribari Wagon Dry
This is a slightly fizzy sake from Sawaya Matsumote-san (although there may be a story that it is originally fizzy).
It is very dry for Sawaya-Matsumoto's lineup. However, the refreshing taste is still the same.
What is mixed sake?
The Corona disaster has settled down a little, but we still drink at home.
Ishizuchi Shuzo Summer Junmai Ishizuchi
I have a weakness for anything that says "limited edition", so when someone says it's a summer sake, I tend to think it's a summer only sake.
Ishizuchi is one of my favorite sakes, and it has a well-balanced and gentle taste.
The summer Ishizuchi is also moderately sweet and delicious.
It's nice to be able to drink it in a shop.
Saiya Sake Brewery Yamahai Junmai Yuki no Kayasha Hiyaoroshi
This is an easy to drink sake with the refreshing crispness typical of Yukino Kayasha and the sweetness of hiyaoroshi.
Although it is getting cooler, it is still hot, so it is just right.
Serve with boiled Mebaru.
Tonoike Shuzo Mochi Dry Junmai Sake
This sake is unfiltered but not sweet, and has a refreshing dry taste. It is rather too light.
You can drink it easily like water.
Sasaki Shuzo Heian Shikami Ginjo Sake
As autumn is coming, we would like to drink Hiyaoroshi, but we chose Sasaki Shuzo because the snacks were solid.
I've never seen this brand before, but it's a well-balanced sake.
It's called Ginjo, but it's not too sweet.
It was served with Wasabi pickles.
Chikumanishiki Shuzo Chikumanishiki
We came to camp and bought this locally. I was attracted by the summer-like refreshing label.
It's a Junmai Ginjo, but it's not too sweet, rather it has a rather firm taste.
Drunken Whale Shuzo Drunken Whale Special Junmai Sake
Vaccine 1st time, 2nd day
I'm taking it because I didn't have any side effects after all.
Drunken Whale is a well-known brand.
It's a classic that needs no explanation, but I love it.
I've been a fan of it since I drank it at a shop with a signboard with the name of this sake (Drunken Whale Tei, I think?) in Kochi more than ten years ago. I've been a fan ever since.
I would say it is right in the center of what I feel sake should be. I think this is what sake is supposed to taste like.
I'd like to go to Kochi once I get over the Corona disease.
And I want to try the bonito, tuna, and whale trifecta again!
Asahi Shuzo Kubota Sparkling
This sparkling sake is surprisingly easy to drink.
You can hardly feel the gloomy taste you often get when sake is sparkling.
I happened to pair it with gyoza, and it went perfectly.
It is a champagne-like sake.
Nishio Shuzo Special Junmai Sake Kiso no San
I feel like I've been drinking a lot of sake from Nagano recently, but it's probably just my imagination.
So, here is Kiso no Kanehashi.
It's a well-balanced sake with a solid taste, but not too spicy.
It was served with cheese and broccoli.
I want to go to Nagano!
Kitaoka Honten Junmai Ginjo Raw Sake Yatagarasu Gin no Sato
A state of emergency has been declared across the country, and you really can't go out anymore.
Sake made in Yoshino? I was attracted to it, and well, I bought a jacket.
If it's raw sake and Junmai Ginjo, it must be sweet, but it is sweet.
Hmmm, the snacks were a little sweet too!
Personally, I like yatagarasu.
Nanashou Shuzo Special Junmai Sake Seibo Ontake
I bought this sake to commemorate my visit to Ontake.
Because it was made by Shichisho Shuzo, I thought it would be sweet, but it was light and dry. It tastes almost like water, so it is a dangerous sake.
We paired it with shichimi cheese, also from Nagano. It goes well with it.
Shichisho-san makes good sake.
