Purchased from Asano Sake Shop SANNOMIYA I was attracted to this sake because it is a limited-quantity product made with serpentine rock rice from Yabu City, but it has an elegant aroma and a clean mouthfeel with a depth and a faint smokiness that comes later. I'm not sure about the difference in rice, but it's exquisitely delicious with cheese.

Purchased at Hankyu Kobe Store in Sannomiya From the sweet, fruity aroma, the acidity spreads throughout the palate, while the mild umami of the rice gushes out from the back of the aroma and disappears. I have not had much of a chance to drink Banshu brands because of their peculiar image, but this one is very easy to drink and is a versatile type of sake that seems to go well with any snacks.

Kochi City Hometown Tax Returns The aroma is just a little bit sweet, and when you put it in your mouth, it goes through smoothly with a well-balanced combination of rice flavor and dryness. Hachitan sake is not often seen outside of Hiroshima, but it is a well-balanced junmai sake that is refreshing and just right for everyday drinking. Serve with light fried snacks and enjoy!

Purchased at Iwakuni Kintaihashi Airport on the way back from a business trip in Yamaguchi Prefecture Not much aroma, but a mild and fresh taste on the palate, followed by the ripe flavor of the rice that disappears quickly and slowly. Because it is an autumn-ripened sake, it has just the right sense of balance that is different from ordinary nama-zake. Even though the alcohol content is a little high, it is not difficult to drink at all. It seems to go well with any snacks, but I enjoyed it with fried seafood.

Purchased at Kobe Hankyu on the way home from a live concert in Kansai The aroma is strong and sweet like banana or peach. It was served at the Nobel Prize, so it is exactly the kind of refreshing ginjo-shu that would sell well in Western countries. I've been to Kobe Shu-shin-kan but never had a chance to try it properly, but I recommend this brand from Nada for beginners too!

On my way back from a business trip to Hokkaido last year, I was recommended to buy a limited edition brewer's product at a souvenir store in New Chitose Airport, so I bought it. The aroma is not so noticeable at room temperature, but when it is cooled down, it has an elegant aroma. The mildness of the rice spreads on the palate, followed by a sharp taste, leaving a mellow aftertaste despite being a ginjo-shu. It is a deep sake that goes well with a variety of snacks, though it is different from the clarity and luxury of so-called junmai daiginjo-shu.

I found it by mail order and bought it because it is a limited edition sake, completely made to order, sold only in spring and fall every year. A deep sake with the strong aroma of Otter's unique flavor, the rich rice flavor as well as Otter's crispness, fresh carbonation and a slight smokiness. Even though it is a limited edition sake, it is so easy to drink that it is a waste of time to gobble it up!
