KARO Planet 9 Type-A
UNVEIL THE UNKNOWN 2024BY🪐💫❾
This is a sake by Koroh, the originator of Kyokai No. 9 yeast.
It's a Concept Workers Selection, so it's different from their usual sake, but it seems to be a modern challenge sake, so I welcome it 😁.
When the bottle is opened, the sound of gas escaping is pleasant, and it has a slight muscat or melon flavor, but because of the low temperature, it has a strong graininess, like brown rice.
The taste is a complete turnaround, with a very chili feeling and a light acidity that comes in smoothly, and once you taste the fullness of the rice flavor, the bitterness quickly catches up with it, and it is my favorite adult bitter modern classic type of sake 😋😋😋😋.
Apparently there is a Type-B? I'll check out the post of the sakewa reviewer and compare the two 😅.

The only sake from Kumamoto I've ever had is Sansho, but the name of the brewery is very intriguing to me 🤤.

So, here we are at the first Koroh, Planet No. 9!
I wonder if it's called "Planet 9" because it uses Kumamoto yeast... I was expecting a spicy taste!
It has a fruity, light sweetness and acidity, and the bitterness comes on rather strongly and is refreshingly crisp.
It's not too bitter to drink even in hot weather!
The alcohol content is low at 14 degrees, so there is no heaviness.
The higher the temperature, the stronger the alcohol taste becomes.
I prefer to drink it well chilled.

Firm and full-bodied.
The menu says it's a medium-bodied beer, but I think it has just the slightest bit of a peculiar taste.
It's not a bad taste, it's just a good taste!
However, I'm too old to eat fried food, and I'm too full to eat a large amount of food at this kind of izakaya by myself.
I bought a packet at my usual liquor store!
I had never heard of this sake from Kumamoto.
It has a rather strong effervescence, and the alcohol is not very high at 14%, but you can still feel the alcohol.
The aroma is not so noticeable to the nose, but in the mouth it has a fruity aroma with a hint of sweetness.
It is like a sparkling wine, but there is no bitterness in the aftertaste, so it is considered to be an easy-drinking wine.
