I went back to Tokyo at the end of the year and drank a lot of different brands, and it's hard to keep track of them all, so I'll just list the ones I liked best.
The aroma is sweet, sour and fresh like an apple. It is soft on the palate and has a wonderful balance of sweetness and umami. This is a delicious food style!

My impression in a nutshell: "(Shaoxing wine + whisky) / 2".
The nose is oaky, nutty and almondy. The taste is sweet, like Shaoxing wine.
I thought it was too early for me to taste such an aged wine!

Izakaya Ouen-Shu (izakaya supporters' sake) has been sold exclusively at restaurants in Kanda, Tokyo, since September.
In a nutshell, it has a muscat aroma and alcohol content, and a solid, special Junmai flavor.
