Gion Festival Yoiyama (2)
Fushimi is the Shinto shrine of Fushimi Inari
It has nothing to do with Gion-san, but you can't leave out Kyoto's sake.
By the way, people in Rakuchu (the sacred area of Gion Festival) say that Fushimi is not Kyoto😅.
We had hamo (conger eel) shabu soup with "tama-fu" from Fuya To (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) on the top!
and eat it!

Tonight is the Gion Festival Yoiyama (1)
Tomorrow, the 17th, Yamaboko Junko (float procession) will be held... I didn't know this because I live outside of Kyoto, but there will be a portable shrine at night (mikoshi-togyo).
The god on the mikoshi will stay at the Gion Otabisho for a week and will return home (Kankosai) on July 24th.
Speaking of the Gion Festival...
Hamo (conger eel) shabu (hamo shabu) as a side dish!
It is served in the Awaji Island style.
