Fusakogane Polished 80 at a long-established izakaya in Chiba.
When I opened it with a strong gassy feeling, it spilled. Rice? It tasted so punchy and full of umami that it was hard to believe it was rice rice!
This is an unfiltered unpasteurized sake sold exclusively at the brewery. It is rich and mellow. It is a strong sake on its own, so it is suitable for eating.
It is a refreshing, slightly dry sake. As the name "Fukuju" suggests, this bottle comes with a story of net-zero sake production, and it tastes exceptional when drunk while thinking about the earth. The taste is exceptional, and you can't stop drinking it while making excuses to improve the environment by drinking it.
We found a limited pre-order product at a liquor store. It is fresh because it is pressed in the morning. It has a strong aroma and excellent flavor. A bottle to enjoy before dinner. It is a bonanza. I was right to ask for a recommendation!
