Opened another bottle for my wife's birthday. The aroma was green apple-like, and I felt it was similar to the Jikin Aizan that I opened at the same time. At first, you can feel the punch of Omachi-like rice, followed by an astringent taste like grapefruit peel. It can be drunk on its own or with a meal. Both Yumachi and Aizan were very good, but I prefer Yumachi more.

Opened a bottle of Jishin's Aizan for my wife's birthday. The aroma is of green apples with a hint of green apple. It has a juicy sweetness that is typical of Aizan. The mouthfeel is soft. It has the umami of rice, with a firm astringency at the end. After about 5 days after opening, the astringency at the end becomes stronger.

Since it was my wife's birthday (nearby), we opened a bottle of her favorite Nabeshima Aizan. It has an aroma of muscat and pineapple. The sweetness that is typical of Aizan is felt at first, and then the umami of the rice starts to show up.

The aroma is like green apple and muscat. It has the flamboyance typical of Nabeshima (←personal impression), and the umami of the rice can be felt well. There is a pleasant astringency at the end. I didn't know the design of the crown had changed (even though it is generic?). I didn't know that the design of the crown had changed (the left one is the new one, the right one is the old one).

It's hard to find in Tokyo (just don't know of any dealers?). I found Tanaka Rokugo and rushed to buy it. I thought Tanaka Rokuugo was Yamadanishiki produced in Itoshima, but according to the label on the back of the bottle, due to a significant decrease in yield caused by water shortage and typhoons in 2022, some Yamadanishiki not produced in Itoshima is also used. The aroma is weak. The aroma is weak, but the rice has a strong umami and acidity. It tastes good on its own, but it is even better with food.

A bottle came out of the back of the fridge; I guessed it was leftover from a few bottles I bought two years ago when it was sold in large quantities at a liquor store (he said there was a surplus due to decreased demand from restaurants). It has a grapefruit-like aroma. The mouthfeel is very soft. When drunk on its own, it has a strong impact of grapefruit-like astringency. When paired with a meal, the astringency subsides and the sweetness of the rice is felt.
