A bottle obtained from a liquor store in Tsuruoka. It was distributed locally. It is fruity and sweet, as is typical of Eiko-Fuji, but it is less sweet and has a more refreshing sourness than those distributed in the Kanto region. Since we were there, we visited the brewery (even though we knew it was closed).

The bottle was opened with high expectations for the combination of Eiko Fuji and Yumachi, a recent favorite of mine. After the fresh and fruity Yumachi-like flavor (←personal impression), you can taste the umami of the rice, which is also typical of Yumachi.

At a liquor store on my trip, I found the much talked-about(?) I found CROSS+ at a liquor store in our destination, so I rushed to buy it. My wife likes Nabeshima Jun Dai Yamadaho (Shin Yamadaho?) and I like Nabeshima Jun Dai Short Neck Watabune (Watabune No. 2). My wife likes Nabeshima's Jun-Dai Yamada-Ho (New Yamada-Ho?) and I like Nabeshima's Jun-Dai Short Zao Watabune (Watabune No. 2), so I had high expectations for this one. The bottle was opened with a squeal of gas escaping. The aroma was faintly apple. The sweetness of pineapple and peach is followed by the umami of rice, which is typical of Nabeshima, and finally the astringency of grapefruit. The second glass had more piquancy and minerality. (Perhaps it is a memory correction, but) this bottle made me think that Nabeshima is still my favorite.

My wife was recommended this bottle at a liquor store. It is an assemblage of Miyamanishiki, Yamadanishiki, and Sakahomare sake. It has a pear- and peach-like aroma with a hint of gas. The fruity yet refreshing sweetness and umami of the rice are felt, with some acidity and astringency at the end.

Eiko Fuji is a recent favorite of mine. As part of the Save Kumamoto Donation Project, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to the reconstruction of Kumamoto Castle. Both the aroma and taste are fruity, which is typical of Eikoufuji (←my personal impression), and the rice flavor can be felt in this bottle.

I have not had this Omine for a long time during a trip to Yamaguchi. I really wanted to buy a draft sake, but due to the restrictions of keeping it cold during the trip, I chose the fire-aged version. Fruity aroma. Fresh sweetness, followed by the umami of rice, and some acidity. I had it with yakiniku (grilled meat) and thought it went well with it.

Suiyu, which I've been liking lately (I really like Hanayuup even more, but I can't seem to get my hands on it because they only seem to carry it in one bottle...). The bottle is opened with a pop and the pressure is released. The aroma is mildly muscat and melon-like. After the fresh sweetness of apples and pears, you taste the umami of rice, with a slight astringency at the end.

Probably your first Mutsu Hachisen. This is a limited edition sake for the hanpukai. The bottle was opened with the sound of gas escaping. The first thing to do is to start with the top clear. It has a mild apple-like aroma. Fresh and lush sweetness is followed by a clean rice flavor. When the ori is added, the sweetness like calpis, the acidity like lactic acid, and the umami of the rice are increased.
