My wife likes Nabeshima Jun Dai Yamadaho (Shin Yamadaho?) and I like Nabeshima Jun Dai Short Neck Watabune (Watabune No. 2). My wife likes Nabeshima's Jun-Dai Yamada-Ho (New Yamada-Ho?) and I like Nabeshima's Jun-Dai Short Zao Watabune (Watabune No. 2), so I had high expectations for this one.
The bottle was opened with a squeal of gas escaping.
The aroma was faintly apple. The sweetness of pineapple and peach is followed by the umami of rice, which is typical of Nabeshima, and finally the astringency of grapefruit.
The second glass had more piquancy and minerality.
(Perhaps it is a memory correction, but) this bottle made me think that Nabeshima is still my favorite.

This is the first Kangiku sake using Sake Mirai that we have ever seen.
It has a sweet and fruity taste that is typical of Kangiku (← my personal impression), but at the same time, it has a delicious rice flavor, and it went down smoothly.
