It's delicious, delicious, delicious. The first thing that comes to mind when I bring it to my lips is a flowery aroma, and when I put it in my mouth, it has a slight sourness, a bitterness from the koji, and a blessed sweetness. The taste is very thick, and you can enjoy the beauty of sake (am I giving too much credit?).
To be honest, I bought the etiquette.
Drunken Whale is also a Bizen Omachi, so it has a punchy taste, but it's not sharp and mild on the palate. I paired it with roast beef, and it didn't lose at all!
I have always liked this brand, it has both sharpness and richness, high alcohol content, and goes well with fatty meals. I have no complaints about the taste. The label is also cool.
I paired it with a Fukushima gift of squid carrots from a friend. It is a highly transparent sake with a refreshing feeling that lasts from start to finish, but it is never watery. It is a sake with a clear personality.
It started off as a subdued junmai sake, not very fragrant, but then I realized the true value of this sake. The first half of the sip is distinctly different from the second.
The first half is smooth and refreshing, like clear water, while the second half is a delight to drink, with a touch of bitterness and a richness to it, a real treat.
Despite the boldness of the pink label, the balance between the gorgeousness and the flavor is well-balanced, not as edgy as Oyama, but with a gentle, enveloping taste that is wonderful!
I'm a complete Akatake lover. At the beginning of autumn, I drank it right away.
It has a very moist texture. It may not be as crisp as Akatake, but that's the characteristic of hiyaoroshi. It's in season to drink slowly on a long night!
A rare brewer's rice? A sake from Iiyama, Nagano, made from Kinmon Nishiki, low in alcohol content, a refreshing summer sake with a strong taste.
Summer is over, and we are enjoying the rest of this drink.
When I hear the name Omachi in the Tohoku region, I can't help but drink it, so I decided to try the Omachi of Akita's Isshaku Mizunari.
The Iwate Akatake no Omachi is the best in my book, but it's as good as it gets. It reaffirmed that it matches my taste buds and preferences. Excellent.
The last time I drank "Omachi", I asked for my favorite drink, Akatake, a reasonably priced Junmai, but it has a firm sweetness and richness while still retaining the crispness that is typical of Tohoku.
I got to know this brewery through their sparkling sake, Kido, which is always an option for me because I like my food crisp and crisp, but the standard stuff is just as satisfying to drink as it sounds!
