Today was the main shrine of the OSAKA Tenjin Festival (the day when fireworks were to be displayed). The area will be very crowded, so we did not go to see the fireworks. I drank a one-cup "Hanabi" from Omine Sake Brewery, which is my favorite brewery in the history of Japan. It was still delicious. Great job, Omine! In my search for low-alcohol sake, I got a bottle of pink muddy sake during the spring sales season on 04/01 (Mon.) and waited in the fridge - finally opened the bottle. I finally opened the bottle. I have now conquered both of the twin low alcohol sake "Sanuki Kuraudai" (2024/03/10) and "Niwa no Uguisu Doburoku (limited time doburoku pink)" (2024/05/03). I tried a sake from Yamaguchi Prefecture, this time Ottersai (Junmai Daiginjo 45). I am weak against sake, and my limiter is around 10 degrees ALC, but I was able to drink Ottersai 45 easily. Intuition: Mild sweetness in the mouth and a refreshing ALC feeling that goes away quickly. It has an ALC of 15 degrees, but it is easy to drink. (This may be due to the fact that the rice is polished to 45%.) I had it as a mealtime sake with dinner (Japanese food). It seems to support the delicate taste of Japanese food by adding shades. I would like to keep a bottle of Otters in my refrigerator at all times. I started to get interested in exploring the sake breweries of Yamaguchi Prefecture. I asked the owner of a local sake store about otters. He said, "Otters tend to focus on the smaller polished rice percentage, but I personally recommend 39. He advised me, "There is a view that over-polishing is not interesting. There is also a view that too much polish is not interesting. I found a bottle of Otters 39 and bought it immediately when it arrived on Thursday, March 14. Aroma: (I am sensitive to smells, so I felt a twang in my nose. Mouthfeel: Harmony of mild sweetness and sourness. Aftertaste: The lingering aftertaste is like the fading of a large, fine-grained firework. Food wine: with vegetable hot pot. I looked for non-alcoholic "Ufufu no moto" at a Terada Honke store, but unfortunately they said they did not carry it. I thought I would just buy Terada Honke's iron plate "Musuhi" and go home, but then I found Terada Honke's non-alcoholic (amazake), so I immediately got it. When I drank a fermented amazake from another company, my mind was filled with the sorrow of not being able to drink it because it was too sour...but I was surprised to find that the amazake from Terada Honke was the same. The mild sweetness derived from rice is honestly delicious! The slight sourness that accompanies the sweetness is a perfect balance. Ganki is a sake brewery in Yamaguchi Prefecture. I tried to find it on the Internet, but it was always sold out. I had given up on it, but then a beautiful light blue bottle appeared in a certain store, just like an oasis appearing out of the desert. A beautiful light blue bottle appeared in a certain store. I was personally interested in this sake from the brewery "Omine Shuzo". Miraculously, I came across it. Moreover, it is a wallet-friendly one-cup. The design is a spring-like motif of cherry blossoms and leaves. I didn't hesitate to get it! We had it with dinner (Izakaya MENU: grilled fish and petit yudofu). I had a glass of Daimine One-Cup (cold). Aroma: No alcohol stimulation like traditional sake (I'm glad). Sensation in the mouth: Rounded sensation with no corners (This is good!) I tried "Sanuki Kuraudei" for the first time today for lunch (miso nabe with sake lees). I was so happy with the perfect match that I tried another pairing experiment. I tried another pairing experiment. (Homemade sweets) A simple sweet with strawberries and pure whipped cream (35%) on top. This is also a creamy sweet. I thought the creamy "Sanuki Kuraudei" would go well with it... (I didn't have the energy to bake a rice flour crepe to wrap the aforementioned.) I gave it a try. The sweetness of the sweets and the sweetness with a hint of sourness of "Sanuki Kuraudii" matched perfectly! A perfect match! The depth of sake is amazing... The experiment was very worthwhile and rewarding.
