Sakiyami's Daiginjo won first place in the Ginjo-shu category at this year's Gunma Prefecture Sake Competition!
Yamadanishiki 35% polished rice
Aroma: Muscat, green apple, lychee
Taste: wasanbon, mango
Dark, sweet and delicious
Soft and crisp
It is light and not heavy, even though it is 18% sake.
A sake with no flaws
I thought it was pretty sweet at first, but it disappeared very quickly and was very refreshing 😊.
It's a great brew with zero miscellaneous flavors 👍🏻🍶✨
It's been a while since I've seen Sakiyami.
Expect a gassy feeling.
Hmmm ......
I wonder if she's a little more mature than before.
I think while feeling gassy
Yopamemo_φ(____)
The gassy feeling is still strong compared to the others!
It's tangy and skittish.
I can also feel a little richness
I haven't had it in a while, but it's still delicious 😋😋😋😋.
Thank you for the food 🎶🎶.
Refreshing lactic acidity, sweet but alcohol-heavy aftertaste, and medium purposefulness. You can taste its distinct flavor even after eating something spicy.
The aroma when opening the bottle is amazing🌸
I thought it would be sweet, but it was Miyamanishiki.
The sharpness of the aftertaste keeps it in check. ✌🏻
It's also great during a meal. ❗️
While the entrance is surprisingly modest and almost aromatic, there is a slight creamy acidity.
In the mouth, the acidity felt at the entrance comes to the fore, and a moderate sweetness and a bit of umami spread out, followed by bitterness and acidity, finishing dry.
Hmmm...
The specs suggest that it should be easy to drink even for those who are new to sake, but the overall balance is not quite right. At the very least, I would like to see a little more umami expansion in the middle part of the bottle and more cohesion in the latter half.
It may be just a matter of taste, but I don't think it is a matter of the temperature at which it is drunk. I don't think it's a matter of drinking temperature, especially since the quality of this kind of sake is improving all over the place.
I wonder if it is a storage problem.
Drinks at a work-related drinking party.
I don't have any notes, and the photos are a bit messy, but I had a lot of drinks, so it would be a waste not to go through them, so I'll just post a few for the record 🍶.
The first sake is Sakiyami Junmai Ginjo Naokumi-Arabashiri (Takamusume Shuzo/Gunma Prefecture).
I was attracted by the spring-like color of the label and decided to make it a starter 🌸.
The Okinawan restaurant we were taken to: 🏝️
The restaurant had a great lineup of awamori and delicious food: ☺️
I looked at the menu and found a good variety of sake 😳.
However, the owner apologized and said, "A group of people drank a lot of sake the other day, so we don't have many bottles left today 😌".
I went to the fridge and chose from the sake that was left.
It had a moderately mature ginjo aroma.
The palate is still slightly stimulated by the gaseous sensation that is typical of direct pumping, and from the clear sweetness and umami, the acidity spreads gently, and from the mid-palate onward, the clear bitterness takes effect and finishes off.
The roughness of the first pressing can only be felt in the bitterness, and it is a good sake with a sense of transparency and refinement typical of Miyamanishiki sake 🍶.
Hi Aladdin 😊Okinawan food and sake sounds great 😋I've never had Sakiyami, even though it's in a neighboring prefecture, and I'm hoping one day to have it. I was in a group the other day... 🙄 Maybe some of them were members of Sake-no-wa 🤭.
Hi Kotori 😃
It was Japanese food with a focus on Okinawan cuisine, but there is no dish that doesn't go well with sake 🍶☺️
Indeed someone might have been here the day before 😁 Still, there was a good selection!
I would recommend Sakiyami if you don't mind bitterness!
Sakiyami Junmai Ginjyo Naokumi-Usu Nigori R5BY.
This is the first time to drink this Sakiyami.
The name "Sayami" comes from Konohanasakuyabime, the great-grandmother of Emperor Jinmu, the most beautiful goddess in Japanese mythology, who is also said to be the goddess of easy delivery and prosperity of sake brewing.
The first sip of the supernatant has a gorgeous apple-like aroma, a mild sweetness, and a dignified, clean acidity and carbonation that keeps the cup flowing. When the orikomi was mixed in, the sweetness was balanced and the sake was even more delicious!
Sakuyabi.
It is a sake made by Takamusume Shuzo in Gunma Prefecture🍶.
The name of the brewery is also somewhat catchy 😁.
The color of the label seems to be different for each sake rice, and this one is Miyamanishiki.
Takamusume Sake Brewery was founded in 1872.
The representative brand name "Takamusume" was derived from a wish in the mid-Meiji period to celebrate the birth of a baby girl and hope that she would grow up to be loved and respected by everyone.
Sakiyami is a direct distillation of Ki-musume.
Sakuyami is said to be derived from Konohana-no-sakuyabime, the god of easy childbirth and prosperity in sake brewing, and may have a connection to Osaka, the site of the Flower Expo 😄.
The appearance is clear crystal.
It has a fine bubbles on the glass.
The aroma is very floral and fresh fruity ginjo aroma, the type of aroma I like very much ☺️
It seems to be made with Kyokai 1801 yeast.
The mouthfeel is stimulated by light acidity and gasiness.
It starts with sourness, then a hint of sweetness, followed by a refreshing acidity that finishes at the back of the throat.
The final stage of the taste is umami.
It is very tasty, but I would like to have a little more flavor to go with the gorgeous aroma! The owner told me that the previous BY had a bit more sweetness and flavor, so I would like to keep an eye on the Sakiyami!
Thank you for the sake 🍶.
Good evening, Aladdin! I think it's a very, very nice name! And I have to agree with "I want to read it with Hana-yori" 🌸I personally was also very impressed with the origin of the name...! I'd like to look for it in the neighboring prefecture ✨.
Good evening, chiaki😃.
Spring sake flowers are already blooming in the sake world, among them Sakiyami is beautiful from its name🌸.
I haven't had much Gunma sake so far, but I'm sure there are still some good ones out there 🍶.
I compared the drink, Sakiyami Pink Label.
It's good 🤭.
I was careful to open the bottle so I didn't fly this time 🤗.
It's sweet and delicious 🤤 and shwashy.
It is good when it is cooled down.
Hi Jay & Nobby 😊.
I prefer the pink label because it is easy to drink, and the grey label is fresh and has character because it is a raw sake. I guess the result is a draw~.
On the way back from Shima Onsen yesterday, we stopped by Takamusu Sake Brewery and were told that Sakiyami is not sold directly but is available at a special distributor, and we were introduced to Square Sake Shop.
I was told they were out of stock due to its popularity, so they sent me a bottle of Sakiyami, today with a gray label. 🍶.
I was careless about opening the bottle and took off the aluminum outer cover to throw it in the trash, and the lid flew off 😲 with great force. But there was no spillage, and when I took a sip, it was a bit like Senkou.
It has a fizzy, shwashy, sweetness followed by bitterness, it's like an adult sake 🥰 this, this, this 🤤.
Looking forward to the next pink label 🤭.
Hello, drunken giraffe!
My mother's family lives near Nakanojo, so I am interested in Sakuyami. Takamusume itself was like a classic sake when I drank it when I visited there for a memorial service, but this one looks delicious. It looks like an ah-ha!
Thank you very much, freelancer ✨.
I've heard that Takamusume Brewery doesn't carry Sakuyami (¯-¯٥) and that it's only available at their distributors, so if you can find it, please do 🤤 It's delicious. The next one I'm going to drink is the pink label, looking forward to it 🥰!
