I didn't buy "Izumikawa" this time because I got it on my last trip to Aizu, but I still want to drink it when I find it..!
Let's start with "Izumikawa"!
The nose has a green fruitiness with a hint of pear and melon. The mouthfeel is soft and light. It has a rounded, crisp sweetness and a light astringent taste with a neat flavor.
It was a refined taste that is perfect during meals & can be enjoyed on a daily basis ✨.
Accompanied by carp!
It's a locally distributed sake 🍶 of Hiroki 🍶. My relatives were in Fukushima prefecture so I ned it lol🐶 It's more of a classic than Hiroki 💦 but as a food sake it's pretty much perfect ♬♬.
Izumikawa is a souvenir from a recent trip to Aizu. It has a refreshing yet subtle muscat-like aroma. It is not too sweet, not too spicy, and has an elegant taste. It is refreshing and goes down easy. I've been sipping on it every day and am about to finish it. I wonder if I can buy some next time I go there. But there are other attractive sake in Aizu...
I'm a sucker for a dry one these days.

Izumikawa Daiginjo.
The last in the series of farewell gifts is the first Izumikawa. It is another brand of Hiroki Shuzo, which brews the well-known Tobiroki. A former colleague of mine from Fukushima bought this for me when he went back to his home country. We are very grateful!
We compared it with Tobiroki from the previous day.
The ginjo aroma is reminiscent of pear and muscat, and the mouthfeel is very smooth.
The mild sweetness, concentrated umami, beautiful acidity, and clear, uncluttered sake quality add to the crisp, clear taste. The balance of this sake is reminiscent of Tobiroki, but the umami is a little milder, giving the impression of being a versatile match.
