I visited the Sake Expo held at the Kintetsu Main Store in Abeno Harukas!
First, let's start with Saka Sake Brewery, which Nemuchi scouted out for us.
We drank
Junmai Ginjo Nama
They said it was so popular that there were only a few left.
Slightly bitter taste. He said he recommended drinking it on the rocks.
It was delicious, but I preferred the special junmai namae, so I bought that one.
Special Junmai Nama

The Italian brewer recommended this one.
It was fruity, sweet and delicious.
When I told him I liked this one better, he said maybe he and I have similar senses 😁.
She spoke really fluent Japanese!

Mellow rice flavor and good richness
The complex taste with good umami, astringency and bitterness, which is a characteristic of Osaka sake, is still there!
I really want to eat something powdered 🤤.
Personally, I prefer it warmed up rather than chilled.

Brought it to the Victoria meeting in Hiran and opened the bottle.
It's the first time to drink Shinomine's rice field series!
Cold sake
The aroma is subdued.
No cloying taste, clear rice flavor, but the astringent taste increases on the back palate.
Rather dry
Purchased at Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA.
I was impressed by the sake I tasted.
They also sold a 4-gallon cup, but I chose an easy cup.
It has a strong flavor and a gentle taste. I thought it was a perfect sake for a meal.

I opened a bottle of this one which has a stronger flavor 😅.
I bought too much sake on Saturday and Sunday, so I wanted to reduce my stock 🙄.
Newly brewed sake with 90% polished rice made from very early rice called Hazukiminori!
It is punchy and thick with a strong umami flavor. It has a nice gasiness and moderate sweetness. There are also bitter citrus nuances like lemon and grapefruit.
A little like Raku no sei.
I thought it tasted like the opposite of Argo.
It's a messy taste, but it's still sweet after a few days, so it's pretty good.

I can't go to the sake meeting on 11/3 because of work😅.
But I'm glad I found a place where I can prep before I go on a sake brewery tour in Kansai.

It looks like it's only sold 3㌥ all year round, but I couldn't find it on the website💦.
When I tasted it, I got the impression it was bitter, but it tasted quite sweet. Maybe because it's not on its own, but during a meal?
I got the impression that it was a little strong on alcohol. But my overall impression is that it's easy to drink.
I have a much better impression when drinking it at home than when tasting it 😍.
I think it will show its full potential during a meal 😋.
The mild syrupy sweetness is addictive!

They had a 4-goupe, but I decided to go with 3㌥😅.
Low alcohol, sweet and sour.

I think it has a bit of a bran taste, but it's sweet and easy to drink.
I bought this one because I was confused with HANABI, which is a second fermentation in a bottle, but maybe I should have chosen HANABI...

When I tasted it, it seemed sweet and tasty, but the sweetness was moderate and the sake was fresh and juicy with a slight spicy gasiness. I thought it had more impact when I tasted it 🤔.
I like the overall impression, but it seems much spicier than when I tasted it.

I thought I hadn't been there so I went to Tsururei for the last time.
I drank
Tsururei Junmai Ginjo
Sweetness and umami. There was nothing unpleasant about it, and it was still delicious!
Tsururei Junmai
Full, beautiful and gentle taste.
Tsururei Junmai Daiginjo
It is refreshing. It is light but delicious.
There were some breweries that I have not yet tried, but I didn't go through them because they are often seen or they are mainly dry.
The ones I haven't tried are
Kozen Josui, Hokusetsu, Kirinzan, Echigo Tsurukame, Omon, Yoshinogawa, Mine-no-Hakuubai, Tatomo, Kaga-no-i
I couldn't taste Kaga-no-i because the staff was not present the whole time...

Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA㉖
After parting with Mr. Sakeran, we went to the Kashiwa Dew booth, which was manned by a mannequin who was at the Keihan Department Store event.
We passed by the booth several times on the way, but he said it tasted too strong, so we said we'd stop by at the end 😅.

Sake served at Yoshinoya.
It has a slight sweetness and is beautiful and tasty for a honjozo sake.
Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama-Shu Nama-Shu
Fruity, sweet and delicious 😋.

Slightly smoky
Super dry junmai sake.
Dry but not too dry and easy to drink
Happo-happo Junmai Seishu HANABI
Second fermentation in bottle. It is sweet and tasty.
HAKURO SWEET
Very sweet, refreshing, light and delicious 😋.
Yuzu Sake
It is rich, fruity and delicious!
When Kashiwaroh Sake Brewery was part of the Sezon Group, Yoshinoya was also part of the Sezon Group, and it was served not only at Yoshinoya but also at Prince Hotel and sold at Seibu Department Store. So it seems that Kashiwa Dew is still served at Yoshinoya even today.
Kashiwa Dew Sake Brewery is now under the Hamada Sake Brewery's umbrella.
Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA㉕
There are so many brands that it is hard to know which one is the main one.
I was torn between Koshino-Kanchubai and Chojamori, but I'll check in with Koshino-Kanchubai!
I've had Fuyushogun and N-888 from this brewery in the past!

Onjamori Junmai Ginjo
Sweet type. Fruity, sweet and delicious!
Otoko-Katsu Junmai Ginjo
Dry type. Crisp and dry, but tasty.
Usukurenai Junmai Ginjo
This sake is a blend of Onna-mori and Otokomori and stored in wine barrels. It is lightly colored. Maybe it's the color, maybe it's the barrel, but it feels like wine.
While I was at this booth, Mr. Sakeran appeared and I moved to the Echigo Touji booth for the second time!
Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA㉔
I was curious about the sake that Mr. Sakeran said looked banana-like, so I tasted only one sake here.
It wasn't too sweet, but it had a banana-like taste.
Nemuchi-san thought it was banana? 🤔.
Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA㉓
The Kikusui booth was spectacular with all the Funaguchi series lined up 😳.
There was also a new product, Junmai Namaisake!

Beni Kikusui
The red box caught my attention but it was plum wine 😅
It was plum wine, but delicious 😁.
Setsugoro Sake
Very beautiful and delicious 😋.
The price was not as expensive as I thought it would be for the gorgeous packaging.
The official website says it's a daiginjo-genshu with a 40% rice polishing ratio.
He was a different person from the one who came to the event at Keihan Department Store, but he was wearing an aloha shirt with the same funaguchi pattern 😁.
Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA㉒
Hasegawa Sake Brewery, which regularly comes to department stores in the Kansai region for tasting and sales, but has never had a sake before.
Yukihonbai only brought a Sandesi drinking set.

Light and refreshing, but with a hint of sweetness.
Junmai-shu Isshin
Sake with an orthodox taste.
Hiyoroshi Junmai
A hiyaoroshi version of Isshin. It feels spicier than Isshin.
Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA21
Sasazuku is a sake rarely seen on the market.
I had the impression that the unpasteurized sake I drank before had a unique character.

The aroma is like herbs and mint. It was easier to drink than I expected when compared to the nama-shu I drank in the past.

Hakuryu Sake Brewery produces a popular Korean packaged sake called "Gambare Papa-chan".
Gambare Chachan is a private brand of Niigata Sake Brewery, which was also present at this event.

Sweet, but a little nutty.

Limited to Niigata. More modern than expected. Easy to drink.

The sky blue color of this summer-only sake makes a good impression.

TAIYOMORI Special Junmai Hiyoroshi Nama-zake
This is a hiyaoroshi version of the special junmai we had earlier.
I think I like it better when it's not hiyaoroshi because it's a bit messy.
TAIYOMORI Junmai Ginjo
Slightly sweet and less spicy than the others.
Koshino-Matsudoro Special Honjozo
Too light and refreshing for this type, but not enough.
Maybe not my favorite, but I'd like to try some of the raw sake here 🤔.
Niigata Sake no Jin OSAKA⑱
I've had Yukitsuru a few times, though I've only seen it at department store tasting sales.

Yukitsuru Junmai Ginjo Fukuro Shibori-Non-filtered Nama-genshu
It feels spicier than the last time I drank it.
I remember it was gassy when it was freshly opened

A little peculiar, but sweeter than the raw sake.
The brewer was too taciturn and silent the whole time 😅.

It's a local sake and usually only available in one bottle.
