I've been working the night shift from the end of last week to the end of next week as a stepping stone, and I've been indisposed: 😮💨
This makes it hard to adjust my time and I can't sleep at night because I feel like I'm jet-lagged, so let's lean a little bit on the sleepy-weather drink that I don't usually do much 🍶.
This time, to avoid drinking too much, I bought a few Sandesi and One-Cups to adjust the price ✨.
Hakuryu Echigo Breeding Junmai Daiginjo
I finally got to drink "Hakuryu" from Niigata's Hakuryu Shuzo, not the usual "Hakuryu" from Yoshida Shuzo 🤣.
[The thin sipped sake.]
The aroma of rice is clear, the taste is clear, and the mouthfeel is clear, with a slight sweetness and a pleasant lingering aftertaste.
The clear umami and sharpness of the taste is one that fits the image of "light and dry" Niigata sake 😋.
The entrée was a cheap piece of sliced pork from the supermarket 🍴.
Before the Hakuryu, here's a TWO RABBIT pale ale I bought on a recent trip to Shiga 🍻.
It has a full-bodied, yet refreshing hop bitterness and a fruity-sweet kick.
It was easy to drink and perfect for a calm and relaxing experience 🍺.
The fourth picture is of Ryukyu evening primrose that has started to bloom wildly on the premises.
Hi Gyve, good evening.
Thank you for always working so irregularly🍀.
So this time Hakuryu is Hakuryu Brewery 🎵.
It's beautiful and looks like a perfect sake for a meal 🤤.
Is it Ryukyu Evening Primrose 😲?
The color and form are lovely✨
Good morning, Gyve 😃.
Thank you for your irregular stepping stone night shift 🥲 that makes me want to indict you 😌Now it would be good to have a small bottle when you can't sleep! I wish you a good sleep😴 with alcohol.
Hi Gyve 🐦.
I'm sure it's hard on your body when you're erratic 💦It's great that you're prepared 😆 The timing of opening the bottle, the various assortments, etc., seems like a chore when you're calm 🤣.
I love your flower garden ✨.
Good morning, ma-ki.
I've been working on a project for a different team in my department and I feel like I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with my normal work 😅.
I'm sure if I drink "Hakuryu" I'll be told I'm drinking with my father, but not this time 🤣.
Good morning, Jay & Nobby!
I have a variable shift situation in my department that is usually referred to as [month-over-month magic] 🤣.
I have a few bottles in stock for adjustment where if you buy over $0.00 you get an extra or pre liquor ticket!
Good morning, Pon!
Looking at myself and my posting pace on the calendar, it's extremely irregular 🤣.
There are flowers all over the property that my late grandmother planted 🌺
There are some violets blooming now in the back here 🪻.
About 3 cups of cold with bonito 🍶.
A little sweet but refreshing. It goes really well with bonito! 🤩
Drank it with my wife while watching Flying Public Relations Office 🍻.
Gakki was cute,,
Alcohol 18 degrees. It has a distinctive cacao-like flavor that is typical of Hakuryu, but this is dark. I wonder if it is good to be thick. It tastes like it has a high alcohol content, but the spiciness is just right. This is...delicious. It is quite a hit. It's wonderful. It's a sake that will definitely get you drunk.
Since it's a draft sake, I'm looking forward to seeing how the flavor changes after a day of drinking!
Iomangoku. Sweet coffee-like, apricot-like, slightly different from others, something habitually sweet and fruity. It is rich and has a long aftertaste. Well, this is addictive. It has a strong personality. This is the taste of Hakuryu. It's nice to clearly see the difference from other breweries. It is delicious!
It is wine-like and the alcohol is 12 degrees.
It was blowing snow this morning,
Now it's sunny!
And that's what I'm talking about,
Today, we had buckwheat noodle board kanappe or something like that as a snack,
we had some Hakuryu sake!
Hakuryu is grown in Niigata!
Gohyakumangoku from Niigata Prefecture
Polishing ratio 60
Dry ➕3
I enjoyed soba and sake 🍶! LOL!
Niigata is the most famous sake brewery in Japan.
The "Niigata Sake-no-jin 2025" was being held at the same time.
The Echigo Toji's skill is evident in this excellent product.
The delicacy of the raw sake.
It is an elegant sake with a gorgeous ginjo aroma.
There are as many as 90 breweries in Niigata.
I would like to continue drinking sake in search of the best sake!
I found it a bit peculiar right after opening the bottle, but on the second day the flavor changed and became milder. As it happened, it was a great drink to pair with unroasted mixed nuts.
