At an izakaya in Fukuoka. I was told that there was a limited time offer, so I ordered it without hesitation. When I drank it, I found it to be... a little fizzy? Not sweet, elegant, like champagne. I don't drink champagne. It was like nothing I've ever had before, and I'd love to have a bottle of it at home!

Tohoku Souvenir #1, open a bottle of Mai Sakura by Sou Yuu, the MVP of our last Tohoku trip! Sweet, but delicious without being lingering! A delicious sake that can be drunk with a meal. My personal favorite sake ranking #1!

Yesterday's drink. We stayed in Koriyama on this day. We chose Aizu Nakasyo as the sake of choice in Fukushima Prefecture. It was refreshing and fruity! I drank so much that I got drunk very quickly...

This is already my second trip to Tohoku alone. I couldn't forget how much fun I had last time... The first day was at Akayu Hot Springs in Yamagata Prefecture! The first drink we had at a bar near the hot spring resort was Sugiyuu. This was also my first time. I asked for something refreshing, and this is what came out. The first sip goes down like water, but the spiciness comes later. This is a wonderful balance! It was a perfect match with oden👍

I happened to pass by a sake brewery on my way to work, so I bought some. I'm a local, but I guess I've never had it before... It's a shame that the brewery didn't have any limited edition sake, but I guess I should just drink the regular stuff first. The taste is refreshing and easy to drink, and goes well with meals. I've been drinking it with grilled ginger, but... oh no, I can't stop! I can't stop drinking it!

I found this at a Seven on my way home from a hot spring in Yamaguchi. It was a limited edition sake from the Sumikawa Brewery of Toyo Bijin. I bought it without hesitation. The transition from sweet to dry on the first sip is quite hard... I think it's better to drink this one in small sips rather than during meals. However, after three days, the sharpness of both the sweet and dry flavors disappeared, and it became much easier to drink. Personally, I prefer this one.

Record leak. The kuro-ryu I've had before was too watery for my personal taste, but this one is good! This is a good sake that you can enjoy, including the spicy aftertaste.

When I was pondering what to buy for a souvenir back home, I saw it and bought it immediately. The previous limited edition sake, I can't not drink it! When I drank it... I could feel the fruity taste unique to Mae, but the spiciness that came in the aftertaste was something I'd never experienced before. I could taste another different kind of Mae!
