The 41st bottle to drink at home in 2024 🍶. This is the 9th generation Otafuku sake from the Fukuhara Sake Shop's hanpukai. It's a rare sake that hasn't even been registered on the Sake no Wa app yet 😌I would never have had the chance to drink it without the hanpukai 😎. The aroma is slightly fruity and the taste is umami + slightly bitter and crisp! It was delicious 🤤. Sweet ⬜︎⬜︎⬛︎⬜︎⬜︎ Dry Dark ⬜︎⬛︎⬜︎⬜︎⬜︎ Pale Preference ★★★★⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎

39th bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. Fourth of four bottles opened at our regular sake party 🏠. Fukkai no Bangai 🌊 which I got from Fukuhara Sake Shop's hanpukai with Fukuda Sake Brewery being the most westerly brewery in Japan. I like that kind of thing 😎. I've had Fukkai before from the hanpukai and thought it was delicious because it had a nice "sizzle" to it, but this one was a slightly different type without the sizzle, but it was delicious with just the right amount of umami and sharpness 🤤.

The 38th bottle of 2024 home brew 🍶. Third of four bottles opened at our regular sake party 🏠. Shinmasa Ecru. This is one of the much easier Niimasa to encounter 🍾 It is delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and acidity 😋.

37th bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. Second of four bottles opened at our regular sake party 🏠. Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki from Hanahayo, which I had bought last year and put to bed. I served it as the highlight sake of the day 😎 It was gorgeous fruity and delicious 🤤.

The 35th bottle for home drinking in 2024 🍶. Shikishima's light nigori. This is the first brand I've had at home 🏠. Shikishima seems to be generally made with a high alcohol content, and the one we drank this time was also quite high at 18%🙈. The 34th bottle to drink at home in 2024 🍶. Haneya Tsubasa's Hanpukai limited edition nigori sake 🪶. I haven't had Haneya since my trip to Toyama, but it's still delicious! 🤤. It has a pleasant ginjo aroma that only a junmai daiginjo can have, a strong flavor with a hint of orikori, and yet it still has the crispness that is typical of Toyama sake 😋. The 33rd bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. Purple space cotton candy label🍬. This is an annual challenge tank, so it seems to be an aggressive brew with a different taste from the standard sake ✊. No aroma, just a sweet 🍬 taste 🍬 Alcohol 9%, maybe we should think of it as a slightly different drink from sake? Long time no see 🍶. Mutsu Hachisen Summer Ginjo! The bottle is refreshing and feels like summer 😎 Mutsu Hachisen is a brand I have a special attachment to since I went on a brewery tour 😼. It was delicious and had just the right amount of sharpness!

The 32nd bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. Seasonal Ryusei Peach Label 🍑. The aroma is quite fruity and peachy 😏, with a hint of banana? It has a slight banana aroma 😏🍌. I thought it would taste sweet, but when I drank it, I found that it tasted like a sweet type of sake. The taste is the opposite of what I expected: it is slightly sweet, with just the right amount of astringency and acidity, and has a dry, chili-like taste. This is my 31st bottle of 2024 🍶. This is my first Sairai from Saitama Prefecture for home drinking 🤤This brand has become quite popular and I think many stores sell it with restrictions 😳I like the sound of the name, it has a beautiful and delicate atmosphere 😌. The taste is somewhere in between sweet and spicy. It has a sweet mouthfeel with a crisp aftertaste. If I had to decide whether it is dark or light, I would say it is rather strong and dark. 30th bottle for home drinking in 2024🍶. Fukkai by Fukuda Shuzo. I've had Nagasaki sake before with Hiran, so I guess this is the second brand I've had? The taste is similar to Sancho, Kaze no Mori, and Abetto? I thought so! It had a gaseous taste and a moderate umami sweetness that made it easy to drink and was quite a favorite 🤤. This might be on my personal list of sakes to repeat 😎.

29th bottle for home drinking in 2024 🍶. Kameizumi CEL-24, regular Hachitan Nishiki 🌾 as there is no sake rice listed. I've had it outside but this is my first time drinking it at home 😎. The sake is -15 on the sake level, so it was quite sweet 🍬 It was delicious, but I personally would have liked a bit more crispness 😼.

The 28th bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. This is the second time this year that I've had a producing Ni No Jo! I have nothing more to say about this one, it's consistently delicious 🤤. One that I always want to have in the fridge at home, as soon as I finish it, I want to buy more 🙈. I'm glad it's becoming more and more popular, but I hope the easy availability situation doesn't somehow change😇.

The 27th bottle of 2024 to drink at home 🍶. Nitoshi's light nigori sparkling 🐇I was told to be careful when opening it at the store where I bought it, but it spilled over spectacularly 🤣. I love bubbly sake, so this was quite a hit for me personally 🤤I went gulping it down! The label is cute too and I'll probably buy it again 🥳.

26th bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. Takeba from Noto, Ishikawa Prefecture, Saved by Kurumata Shuzo. The Kurumata Brewery rescued the malt from the damaged Sudoma Brewery in Noto and brewed this sake 😌. The taste is clean, sharp, and quite dry 😎I've been drinking a lot of sweet and savory lately, so this type of sake was nice to have once in a while 😋.

The 25th bottle of 2024 to drink at home 🍶. Gunma Prefecture's Sei no Wakamizu💧I thought the name "Wakamizu" referred to the spring water used for sake brewing or something, but it was the name of a rice variety! My mistake🤣. It's unfiltered raw and lightly active shuwa shuwa🫧 delicious 😋.

The 24th bottle of home brew in 2024 🍶. I bought this Omine 🌾 last year and let it sit in the cellar. It is fire-aged so it has a mild, calm and gentle flavor. It has no peculiarities and no cloying taste, so it's a pretty easy-drinking kind of sake 🤤.
