Relatively clean the first day; juicy from about the third day. It is delicious.
It was described as "lightly cloudy," but it was not particularly muddy.
The brewery was selling the sake at a liquor store in Tokyo Station.
I have had quite a few sake made from Hyogo's Yamadanishiki, but this was my first time drinking Hyogo sake itself.
The aroma was gorgeous, with a hint of gas. It has a good acidity and a firm profile. It also has a nice flavor.
Delicious.
Next was No. 7, a little more acidic than No. 6, which made me choke at first. There is no extreme difference between No. 6 and No. 7, and both are easy to drink.
It is not extremely different from No. 6, and it is easy to drink.
I don't usually do this, but I opened two bottles at the same time to compare.
The first was the No. 6 yeast. Moderate aroma. It has a clear and crisp aroma. More fruity than ricey. Very easy to drink and delicious.
Aizan, following Honorifuji, Yamadanishiki, and Akaban Yucho!
It is a little sweeter than the most recent Yumachi. It is true that Aizan is a sweet sake. It is easy to understand when you compare them at the same brewery.
I think Kaiun is more suited for a food sake, but Aizan is also delicious on its own.
In any case, all Kaiun sakes are delicious. I would like to keep this sake in my pantry.
Omachi, following Honorifuji and Yamadanishiki!
Slightly firm but clean taste. Excellent balance between fruity and rice feel. It is easy to match with meals.
Strong aroma. Pear. Slightly gluey on the first day. Fruity, but. Clean and crisp. Very tasty.
As the day goes on, it gets more angular and this is delicious.
Bought the jackets.
Definitely smells like lychee. It is like a Riesling wine. It is not sweet, but crisp and easy to drink. It has a pedantic feel to it, but it is a solid and tasty sake from a good brewery. I would like to try their regular products.
Slightly sweet, slightly bitter. It's very rich.
I paired it with kabura-zushi and squid kurozaki-zukuri that I bought at an antenna store...perfect.
I was not so sure about the quality of Katsuma before, but now that I have tried many different types of sake, I can say again that it is delicious.
It doesn't have any sharp characteristics, but that may be a good thing.
Aroma: Banana. Taste: firm. Sweetness and bitterness like caramel and cinnamon, with a hint of Western wine. Complex yet smooth. The alcohol content is high, but it is surprisingly easy to drink.
It is unique, transcending the boundaries of modern or classical. Very tasty.
The bottle is opened vigorously. It is foamy and bubbly. The bubbles are strong. First, there is a sour taste. It is like lemonade. It is a fresh sake with a clear outline. The sweetness is moderate. The sweetness increases when mixed with cress. It is quite tasty.
I bought the pink label before, which was very good, so I went for the fine snow.
Aroma is apple, pineapple. Less gassy. Not as juicy and flavorful as the pink label. At the end, a grapefruit-like bitterness sums it up nicely.
Very tasty too. A brand I want to buy continuously.
So, Yellow Label is on standby.
This is the third year in a row for the 39 series.
This series has a gorgeous image, but this year I thought it was a little less glamorous and had a thicker, more complex flavor. Either way, it is delicious.
