I had been drinking the back but didn't know the front.
The color of the front side of the bottle is dark, which is surprising even for a mirin (sweet sake).
It has a strong sense of aging in the bottle, but it is surprisingly modest and moderately full.
The texture is clear and glossy.
It has a slight smoky flavor, like that of iburi goko.
The wine has a sense of unity of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and umami.
It has a very rich, mellow, umami taste.
Surprisingly, the sweetness in the aftertaste is calm and not persistent.
To go with the stinky combination, we ordered seared dried firefly squid.
The savory flavor goes well with it.
It seems that there are different likes and dislikes.
The yellowish sake has a relatively easy-to-drink aftertaste.
Preference 4/5
Comparison of Shinshin and Ura-Shinshin. The amber-colored one on the left is Shinshin. It has a nice grassy, millet-like mature taste, and is easy to gobble up. It also goes well with Shizuoka oden, which has a strong dashi broth!
I was surprised when I saw the color. But it was not as rich as the old wine and was cleaner than I expected. As the days went by, it became less refreshing.
Brown sake. Perhaps because sake is used in the brewing process. It feels thick, but it is easy to drink. It is a wonder. Delicious with sashimi and oysters!
My wife went to visit my daughter and second son and brought back two bottles of sake.
One bottle was the one she sent me a picture of and asked me which one of these I liked. I bought another bottle in addition to the one she asked me which one of these I liked!
The Reaper. ☠️
This is,,, what kind of message?
No way, if 😱.
The sake, first of all, the color is dark, maybe the darkest I've ever had!
When you drink it, you think it's sake, right? It's so unique!
It's like Shaoxing sake?
Strong sourness, suitable for Chinese food?
(Sake has a lot of congratulatory names, so they decided to go against the trend.)
I asked my wife why she chose this sake. I asked my wife why she chose this sake,
She said it was a rare sake, but it is famous in Shimane, where our daughter lives, so she thought of sending it to her daughter on her birthday last time, but she didn't want to send a "Shinigami" on her birthday! So she thought of sending it for my daughter's birthday last time, but she decided to send it this time.
I was a little relieved, but if I had really thought about it, I wouldn't have told her honestly.
The bonus is a lemon-flavored Umaibo from the Setouchi area.
The color is a beautiful golden hue. The standing aroma gives the impression of having both caramel-like liquor nuances and Shaoxing liquor-like medicinal nuances. When you drink it, you can sense a slightly thickened rice sweetness and umami, which quickly fades away in the aftertaste. There is not much sourness or bitterness.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wonder if this kind of sake has more merit if it is heated up.
Tasted at Hitoshizuku, a sake bar in Tamatsukuri Onsen.
I was curious about this sake because of the impact of its naming, but was hesitant to put it in my cellar due to bad luck, so I was glad to try it at the restaurant😃.
God of Death

Kamofuku Sake Brewery (Shimane Prefecture)
✳︎
Junmai sake with a mellow, sweet, umami taste.
The color was punchy.
At first, the syrupy sweetness of the rice comes around for a moment, but the sake has a beautiful sharpness to it.
First evening drink in 5 days 🍶.
The last time I opened a bottle of Reaper
Any change?
No change in color. The aroma is still the same and it's still Western-style. But the mouthfeel and taste have mellowed.
It's definitely sake, and it's delicious, too.
The taste was not like sake, it was more like a Western-style sake with a flavor I didn't expect.
I wonder if it is dry 🤔.
I don't feel the acidity, but the umami and richness are very unique.
I chilled it for 2 hours before opening, but now that it's back to room temperature, I think it will change.
