Kinshicho Lunchtime Drinking Part 2 Following Wataya, we ordered Rumiko's Sake, which we have been curious about for a while❗️It's my first time drinking and I'm spunky♪ As you can see in the picture, there are carpaccio, aged sashimi, and marinated strawberry, pear and cheese on one plate. I can feel the chef's taste👍. These snacks go great with this sake.... It is perfect as a food wine, though it has a hearty taste. It's a sake without make-up, so it's a sake without make-up 😊 The "Sukippin" Nobby at home is pretty good too 😆. Next up, "on to the refreshing sake recommendations!" So the next one was Shoryu Renna's Kimoto Jungin Omachi 50 Mame Noen Specially Cultivated Rice ‼️ This is also my first one and second one from Kanagawa Prefecture. It is brewed with specially cultivated Omachi rice grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. It has a moderate acidity and a faint gaseous taste 😋 We will pair this with chawan-mushi (steamed rice with milt and ginkgo nuts). The sake is reasonable, about 800 yen for a bottle (150 cc). It was empty at 1pm on a Saturday, but it seems to be a popular restaurant! to be continued

Kinshicho Lunchtime Drinking Part 1 The 201st and a few more drinks outside after a long time 😊. I visited J&N Tokyo expedition a year ago, and this time of year has come again. I drove out of Utsunomiya early in the morning, left the car at my father's place, and took the train to Ana Hachiman Shrine in Tokyo to seek Ichiyo Raiko! I was expecting a huge crowd, but I was lucky that although it was crowded, it wasn't that bad! After receiving the money, I went to visit a grave. After finishing all my plans, I was looking for a place online where I could have a lunchtime drink since I came here by train 🚃 and found a nice restaurant in Kinshicho on the way ❗️and this place hit the jackpot 🎯. They must have thought we were just a couple who came here for lunch, because they asked us if we wanted to go to a sake and wine store. No, that's why we came here. So we were seated at the counter. We ordered a light course meal, and the first restaurant we went to was Wataya, which I had been curious about! It was my first drink! It's easy to drink 😋 It's slightly lactic and sweet. It goes well with the dishes that came out👍 The food that came out was delicious and we had several more bottles after this! to be continued

Good morning, Jay & Nobby 😃I'm so happy to hear that your 201st bottle is of our local sake, Wataya! I think every bottle of Wataya is well-balanced, so it goes well with food 😆.

Hi Wakata 😃 It was the kind of sake 🍶 that I would like to try, as I imagine it to be an all-purpose food sake 😊 It was just as I imagined it to be and perfectly matched the food 😋.

Hi Manachie 😃. Yes ❗️The alcohol menu is austere but the chemistry is perfect👍 I think he is a young looking but able owner 🤔.

Jay & Nobby here too 😄☀️ I love having a lunchtime drink in Tokyo 😊👍. I wonder if the restaurant staff didn't see you and your wife J&N as if you were drinking 🤔, but I bet they were surprised when you started drinking 🤣.

Good evening, Sake-run 😃. It's a tradition to come here every year around the winter solstice to buy the Ichiyo-kaichi bill, but this was the first time for me to have a lunchtime drink 😊 But from next year, I will make this lunchtime drink an annual event 😆. Have a happy new year 👋
