ShinshinSY has left for a class reunion 🚌 J&N and Kotori are going to have a few more drinks ⤴️ in Utsunomiya🐾 Part 7 I'm interested in [Sake made exclusively for Sushi under the supervision of Sushi chefs in Hokkaido] 🙄. It has a soft, modern, slightly dry and refreshing taste. It's perfect as a food sake 😋 It's also a nice contrast to Toyo Bijin 😋. ...Now that the 4-gouge bottle given to us by Shinshin-san is empty, it's time for us to go home, right?

A little drink in Utsunomiya🐾 with Shinshin SY, J&N and Kotori Part 6 We had a lot to talk about with the sake stores recommended by Shinshin and the members of Sake-no-wa, but Shinshin said, "I'm going to stop now..." and he pulled out a bottle of Toyo Bijin Sake Mirai from his backpack 😍what a thoughtful gesture❕ Cheers again🥂! The fruity, melting, ephemeral, sweet and savory taste made my cup runneth over 😚 (I've already told the restaurant not to serve it) The time for the bus was approaching and it was time to say goodbye 🥲 Next, my backpack presented me with a gift of Ichigen Ramen 😳He said he found out that I like sake and ramen and prepared it for me 🥹 I was very grateful and took one box each from J&N ❕. I saw him off to the bus stop ❕ and 👋🏻

Good evening, Kotori-san. Thank you very much for joining us on such short notice. It started with the preliminary inspection of the izakaya (Japanese-style pub) where the Tochigi Prefectural Citizens' Meeting was to be held, followed by soba noodles and sake, and the LRT test ride that I had wanted to try. Thanks for the many memories!

A little drink in Utsunomiya🐾 with Shinshin SY, J&N and Kotori Part 4 After meeting up with J&N, it was a friendly chatting session with the sakewa members, as if we were reminiscing over a reunion with friends we haven't seen in a long time 😌. 3 local sake sake comparison...Shikizakura! It has a smooth mouthfeel with a molasses-like sweetness and a classical sake-like flavor. It also has a rich umami flavor that would go well with sweet and spicy cooked dishes and grilled fish 😚.

A little drink in Utsunomiya🐾 with Shinshin SY, J&N and Kotori Part 3 We still had a little time before meeting up with J&N, so we decided to take the LRT to a sake store near the station while enjoying the changing scenery of the city. The design is stylish with Oyaishi, a specialty of Utsunomiya, decorating some of the stops and the interior of the train 😃. I was informed that Mr. J&N had started to drink 🍶 in the station, so I went back to the station to join him. We returned to the station and met up with J&N ❕ for the first time 🥹🤝. Shinshin-san and I ordered the omakase jizake (local sake) 3 types for comparison... Souhyo! It had an aroma slightly reminiscent of apples, with a full-bodied, acidic spread and a clean, medium to slightly dry aftertaste 😚.

I received a call from Shinshin SY in the middle of last month, and he said he would stop by Utsunomiya before the class meeting ‼️, so I asked him to join us and we actually met yesterday! First of all, Kotori-san took the role of an attendant for the lunchtime drinking course 🤗. First, we went to Kura, a buckwheat noodle restaurant that is often visited by residents of Utsunomiya! From there, they went to Utsunomiya Station, Light Line, Hitomi Sake Shop and so on! That's just like Kotori-san 👏! We arrived at Utsunomiya station around 2:00pm after running errands until mid-afternoon 🚌 and had a quick drink of Otokoyama at Sushikatei while we waited for them to arrive 😙 They appeared and joined us after about 30 minutes! The party was about to start 🤗. We had a bottle of Snowball ⛄️, which we haven't had this year, and they had a local sake set 🍶. Kotori-san told us that this year's Snowball was good, and it was indeed delicious without any roughness 😋. After that, while we were drinking shichimizu, Shinshin-san brought in a bottle of Toyo Bijin (a Japanese beauty). ‼️ It was a very enjoyable meeting and chatting with him. Afterwards, the three of us drank and talked, and I worried about what to do if there was too much left over. We were worried about what to do if we had too much to drink, but the bottle was empty before we knew it and we were on our way to the second 👋.

Less than 30 minutes left! Let's drink together the sake I brought from Hakodate 🍶 around here. My favorite brand, Toyo Bijin. Comparing the acidity of Sengoku and the sweetness of Toyo Bijin! I wanted to tag the location first. Before going to the after-party, we passed by Utsunomiya station and took the new mode of transportation, LRT, to a liquor store! There were so many delicious Tochigi sake to choose from that it was hard to keep my eyes open 🤭. We boarded the LRT again and headed back to Utsunomiya station to meet up with our friends who were waiting for us. I greeted the two people who had been waiting for me. They welcomed us warmly! Let's have a drink together! I don't know what we're going to drink, but we're going to compare three kinds of Tochigi sake! The Souhyo we had heard so much about came out! The start is full of apple🍎 feeling! It seems to be similar to Tasake We greeted everyone and chatted while enjoying our drinks 😊. Utsunomiya Lunchtime Drinking (2) We decided to drink the same sake from the second bottle, and the next one chosen was Kurumasaka, which was described as "a ginjo sake that goes well with fish", so we had to try this one 😊. This was our second bottle of Wakayama sake, as we had only had Kido in Wakayama! It was a drink that made the fish taste even better 😋. We finished off fresh with Imadaiji Tsubakuro! Three light afternoon drinks for two people was probably just right, just not enough to drink! Before leaving the restaurant and moving on, I took another peek at the event plaza, and this time I saw a two-shot of Hollimon and Miyasako! Nobby took a bunch of pictures and sent them to my daughter and she asked, "What if I don't like either of them?" I got the reply 🤣. After that, we walked to Futarasan Shrine to eat, and saw a Tochigi Pro Wrestling match at the outdoor plaza! I watched the match for a while! Furthermore, the Korea 🇰🇷 festival was held at the plaza on Orion Street! It was a day when I felt the excitement of Utsunomiya with so many events and people gathered in various places 😊. I decided to take it easy and walk the 7km to home. However, I was a little tired with 2km to go 💦I decided to take a break at a yakitori restaurant that I had been curious about for a while 😚 but to my surprise it was fully booked even though it was Sunday 😳I will try again someday 😤.

Utsunomiya Lunchtime Drinking (1) Sunday morning was sunny and we talked about going out somewhere 😄, but there was no specific place to go 😅! We took a bus to Utsunomiya station for the time being. We arrived at the station a little after 11:00 a.m. and headed to the east exit to check out a liquor store or something 😁. I went down to the plaza and looked around the stalls and found Mr. Miyasako at the Beef Miyagi stall ‼️ but he had no aura at all 😑I thought he was a mimic at first 😆. After that, I went inside the building to take a look around, and then Hollimon appeared ‼️. This guy had more presence! In the end, we didn't eat anything at the stall, but decided to have a light lunch at Sushikatei, which we had visited before🤗. We started off with a half a bottle each of Jay's Gazanryu and Nobby's Kaygetsu Super Dry! It was the first time for both of us to drink J&N👍. Gazanryu is a mouthful! The Gazanryu is a fresh and delicious bottle that is gentle on the palate 😋 The Katsuraguchi is crisp and clean 😋 Definitely one for the sushi bar 😚. We ordered a side dish of soaked rape blossoms, sashimi, tempura, rolls, and nigiri😊Drinking sake from noon with a freshly made side dish is a great treat. ☺️ To be continued
