Kifeng Tsuru's Challenge Sake Pongee Series
This is the first time I purchased this product😊.
I saw it at Takashimaya but held off and bought it at Ikoma Sake Shop 😁.
It seems to be made with prolific yeast. I think the sake level was pretty negative 🤔.
It smells and drinks like green apple as it says on the label. The low alcohol content and gentle mouthfeel makes it easy to drink.
Seemed to have a slight gassy feeling as well.
The label looks expensive, but it is reasonably priced at about 1600 yen.
Is it because it's made with out of quality rice?
The second and final order of the last day of this great adventure called "going home" is Kifengaku's North Shizuku.
This is my first time at Kifengaku. Gentle puffy feeling and melon flavor. Nice sharpness from the refreshing sweetness 😊.
I've never had sake with Kitashizuku before, but I didn't know Kifotsuru was such a gentle and refreshing sake, it's so delicious ‼️

I was given a sample to drink.
The rice is Reihou.
It was not as dry as the Kokufutsuru I mentioned earlier, but it seemed cleaner or thinner in comparison.
The store staff said that the taste change was significant from when the bottle was just opened.
It's supposed to be +10 sake 😳.
It wasn't extremely spicy, though.

I see that Kibotsu Tsumugi is super dry and refreshing.
I wonder if it is similar to Tsumugi, which was also dry and refreshing.
Kihotsumugi, the one I drank also had a great change in taste, so I think this one is the same.

I think it might be because I drank the dry Kunifutsuru first, which has a strong umami flavor 🤔If the taste changes too much, should I drink the Kihotsuru earlier?
Maru-san, come to think of it, the first tasting of the Omachi raw was shockingly delicious a few days after opening, so I was surprised at the gap when the bottle was opened 😳.
They're both delicious though 😁.
