I haven't come across Asahi Wakamatsu 🌅🙌 in a long time.
I can't find it at my local sake store anymore...
A sake brewery that produces a small amount of sake, about 40 casks a year.
Warmed to lukewarm. The flavor is very strong!
2021BY. light yellow in color.
At room temperature, it has a good sense of maturity and sharpness. When heated, the mild sweetness increases and the sharpness is good. I prefer it warmed by far.
I didn't drink enough, so I had to ladders 🪜🍶.
The owner's acquaintance had been aging it at room temperature and gave it to him.
It was served heated.
The initial aroma is sweet with a hint of alcohol due to the fact that it is a heated sake.
In the mouth, it has a full-bodied sweet flavor that is typical of Omachi.
The aroma is sweet with a hint of richness.
I'm a little worried that the production is decreasing year by year due to the aging toji (master brewer).
It was very delicious.
Good evening, Mr. Matsuchiyo😃.
The other day, I asked about the current status of Asahi Wakamatsu at the distributor.
Due to the brewer's foot problem, the 22BY was not brewed and only the stock was shipped. If he recovers, the brewery will probably resume the brewery's business.
Good morning, Matsuchiyo-san: ☀️
This sake used to be sold in my neighborhood, but I was worried because it is no longer in stock 🥺.
bouken's info makes sense😅I hope they can reopen it!
I hope it can be reopened.
Good morning bouken 🍶.
I'm sorry to hear about your limp 🥺.
I know there are many small breweries like Asahi Wakamatsu that only enthusiasts know about, but I hope they manage to nurture their successors and protect the diversity of sake.
Good morning, T.KISO🍶.
I heard that the master of the brewery is very old, so even if he could reopen the brewery, it is unlikely that he would be able to continue for a long time, so I hope he would at least keep the recipe.
The couple grows their own rice and mill their own rice as well, so I think it must be a lot of work.
Until a few years ago, they had a daughter who came back from training, but she got married and left the brewery....
A robust and delicious Tokushima sake.
When heated, the sweetness stands out and it becomes easy to drink.
I love it both cold and warmed.
It's a shame it's about to run out.
Zesshu Forever. (Zesshu Forever.)
First time drinking Tokushima sake. Warmed sake. Mellow aroma, good acidity, sweetness, and plenty of umami. It goes perfectly with grilled ayu fish from the Nagara River.
The third cup of sake was Asahi Wakamatsu by Naga Sake Brewery.
Again, the aroma was not very strong.
When you put it in your mouth, you will be surprised by the sweet and umami taste and the sake flavor.
However, the mouthfeel was smooth and easy to drink, which was a strange feeling.
It has a strong taste and umami, which is something I usually don't get with sake, but I found it to be very tasty 🎵.
Hi ma-ki-! I'm glad you found Okinawan, Miyazaki and Tokushima sake at the izakaya where you can get sake from all over Japan 🤗🎊I'm sure you will also find Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Shizuoka and Iwate sake at that izakaya 😊😄.
Thank you, Mashiranoyama(san).
I was very excited just to see sake from all over Japan 🎵.
I actually succeeded in getting the sake from those 4 prefectures, and I am looking forward to enjoying it slowly now 😊.
For the record.
The owner likes to lay down his sake quite a bit and has a lot of different kinds. He also likes aged sake, and he's aging some more.
This one was brewed in 2021, came out in the fall of 2022, and opened in July 2023.

Asahi Wakamatsu Junmai Sake

Naga-cho, Tokushima Naga Shuzo

I bought this for heating because I hadn't found it in a while, but after drinking it, I wanted to drink it again and it soon ran out.
It is a sweet sake, but it has a nice pull, and it goes down well.
It is good at room temperature, but it would be a shame not to warm it up.
The label says it will be brewed in 2022, but since it is not being made this year, it is labeled as 2021BY.
It has a rich, umami taste.
The first time I drank it, about 5 years ago, I didn't think it was good.
I don't remember much about the second time.
But after the third time, I started to understand its deliciousness,
Now it is one of my favorite brands.
It is true that our taste buds and preferences change over time.
Oh, it is not fruity at all. It smells like alcohol (in a good way).
Mr. Arai! I wanted to try this sake once while I was in Shikoku, but finally never had a chance to drink it.
I envy you.
How is it? Was it delicious 😆?
