When I asked for a recommendation, Nanaken's hiyaoroshi came up! It was a change from the autumn sake we had just had, with a light and refreshing taste, more like the umami of rice than sweetness and flavor! It tasted more like rice flavor 😋✨. However, I was already on the verge of drunkenness, so I could not give a detailed review, but I was drinking it while saying it was delicious. ☺️

Everyone loves AKABU's cold grated I always say that it has a tropical aroma, but I've had too many fruity drinks and my nose is stupid 😭. I can only say that it smells good when I'm drunk too much 😭. I remember that it has a mild and gentle sweetness on the palate 😋. The alcohol is light at 13%, and the acidity that comes afterwards is beautiful and easy to drink. ☺️

First time for Nagatoro-san Nagatoro-san was recently at Starbucks ☕️ in Kawagoe for a tasting and sales event so that we could have it in our store! The aroma is fruity, with pineapple and tropical flavors wafting through the air 🤤. The taste is gorgeous and fruity, with a juicy fresh fruitiness that is delicious! The finish is clean and refreshing without being heavy ✨. I would buy this sake when I have an empty fridge 🍶.

I got my favorite orange sea by Kangiku 😋. Sorry for not being able to pick it up since my fridge is full 😭. Since we're here, let's take a sip! It has a fruity aroma with a hint of fruitiness, and the deep flavor that comes from a summer's sleep is irresistible 🥰. The taste is slightly sweet, with a mellow rice flavor like ripe fruit & juicy deliciousness✨. The mild acidity and piquancy are also in perfect balance 🥳. I knew Kangiku-san was good! There was a sparkler and a back-up sparkler drinking comparison, so we were very excited to try them! I was so excited that I had to try them! The sparkler has a lemon squash and citrus aroma, with a sweetness and sourness like that of a capsicum, and a crisp and refreshing impression. The back, Senkohana, is much less acidic and has a smooth sweetness that makes it a great drink. ☺️ As a lover of sweet and juicy, I preferred Ura-Senkohana!

AKABU, which I haven't had much to drink for some reason. We decided to have a Junmai Daiginjo from the UA collaboration 🍶. The ginjo aroma is juicy and reminds me of sweetness 😋. The taste is soft and clear with just the right amount of sweetness and acidity to make it easy to drink. I could also taste the umami of the rice and it was quite my favorite umami sake! I think I might like AKABU 🥳✨

This time, I drank a combination of yonotori & yonotori that I ate with gusto 🍶. We ordered the Yonotori first. I was told that vanilla ice cream and sweet potato with nuts would also go well together, so I ordered more 😋. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to eat yonotori, so I waited for it to come out! It looks like yogurt or porridge, or doburoku (a kind of concentrated drink) 😆. First, take a sip! It has a strong sour taste, but the sweetness of the rice comes out later! The taste is also strong, and the sweet sweet potato salad goes really well with it 🥳. I had some vanilla to refresh my palate, and then I decided to try the Yonotori and the Eating Yonotori together! Mmmm, the flavor of the yonotori was so strong that the flavor of the drink was lost 🥺. The waitress also seemed to have tried it and smiled and said, "It loses its taste, doesn't it lol"! You knew that 😭 But it's not every day you get a chance to pair such a precious sake, so it was a great experience ✨.

I had bought it before but was too lazy to drink it, so I decided to have it because I could drink it standing up! It is a very polished sake with a rice polishing ratio of 35%, the same as Ohmine's flagship 2-grain hi-iru Yamadanishiki 😌. The aroma is sweet with a hint of muscat, just like Ohmine! Like a much richer aroma than 3 grains 🤔. Now it's time to take a sip Oh! Eye-opening concentrated sweetness, a little sourness, and a clear aftertaste with no clutter! It's so good 🥳! Personally, this is the most well-balanced, yet rich sweetness I've ever tasted! It's impeccably delicious 🥰! I think this might be my favorite! I'm glad I splurged and bought it 😆.

I've been indulging in a lot of Jikon lately! This time it's the Jikin again 😋✨. The aroma is subdued, with a sweet, gentle ginjo aroma reminiscent of muskmelon and white peaches. It has an elegant fruitiness that will arouse your desire for sake 😆. The taste is juicy and rich, with a rich rice flavor and sweetness that spreads in the mouth. The acidity that comes later balances it out. ☺️ It has a fresh feeling even though it is fire-roasted, and it has a lightness like orange liquor. The bitterness is almost imperceptible, and the smooth, elegant aftertaste lingers... As it gets to room temperature, the umami of rice and soft acidity harmonize, and it becomes more tender and gentle on the palate. It is a beautiful sake that would go well with autumn flavors 😋.

After the Jikin, I drank the Katsuma Junmai Sake! Off topic, but I recently bought a Lemacom freezer checker, and I guess it was a defective one, because my sake froze even though the setting was at its lowest 😭 (I didn't touch the quick-freeze button). I came to Starbucks🍶 in Kawagoe to drink some Katsuma to ease my heartbreak, and to my surprise, there was only one bottle of Katsuma Junmai Ginjo! I had no choice but to buy it! I had to buy it! It was exceptional! It has a clear, clear flavor with no cloying taste and a smooth mouthfeel. It's not too flashy, but elegant and well-balanced, a beautiful sake that I could drink every day and never get tired of it ✨. When served cold, the taste of the rice is tight and balanced. As it reaches room temperature, the rice flavor expands and the umami sweetness peaks 🥳. I hope you all take care of the quality control of your sake so you don't end up like me 😇.

This time I came to drink Junmai Daiginjo Nabari which I missed in the lottery 😆. 4 bottles drawn... I'll save my points for next time 😭 I ordered this sake because I wanted to try it even though it is quite expensive at 1,300 yen for 60ml! The aroma is more mellow and fruity than the Jikkomai we usually drink, and our expectations are high 😋. When you put it in your mouth, the moderate sweetness and juiciness spread in your mouth, and the drinkability that goes well with food stands out! This is delicious! It is sweet and delicious, but not too sweet, with just the right balance between the moderate sweetness and the umami of the rice that gives it a boost! I'll have to win it next year!

☀️ 1400 check-in✅ for this🍚. Shinmasa Sake Brewery, this is the 2025 special hanpukai "Eat Yonotori" 🐦‍🔥 The waitress recommended this 👀, saying, "We also have this 🐦‍🔥. The clerk then proceeded to tell me, "It's a little tough on its own, so we recommend it with yogurt or ice cream 🍨. ❣️ Mmmm, they are good at their business😅. However, I decided to take it, thinking that if I passed up this opportunity, there would be almost no chance of encountering it 😋. The description on the can says "super concentrated nigori sake," but it's such a "sloppy porridge" that the rice grains are still there 🍚. As the name "eat" implies, this is food 😆. The porridge is topped with the usual sour and sweet flavors. The sourness seems stronger than the "Drink Yonotori" and is more acidic 🤣. It is just right to eat it with vanilla ice cream 🍨 to soften it up 😋. When you swallow it at the end, you'll feel like it's a total Shinsei ✨. It's really strange 🙄🙄. It may not be to everyone's taste, but if you think of it as a prototype for the new "Shinsei bento", it's great 😎. If you look closely, you can see that the item is labeled as sake and the process is described as kijoshu 👀. I wonder if it's classified as a sake 🤣. I can't wait for the day Shinsei makes its way into the bento industry 🤗.

☀️ Altair is the brightest star in the constellation of Aquila ⭐️. You give it quite a fashionable name 😎. Now, let's see how it tastes.... It pops and looks sweet, but it was not too sweet 🙄. I was fooled 😣. With less sweetness, you can clearly feel the unique sourness that is typical of Sairai 🤭. There is no throat sensation, it flows down your throat so smoothly and naturally 🫥. It leaves a bitter and astringent aftertaste, but as the temperature rises, the bitterness and astringency decrease and the sweetness becomes more pronounced 🤗. It was sairai for summer 🌴.

We had another glass of Hakkaisan! The aroma is rich, but when you take a sip, it is so light and smooth that you can drink it without hesitation. It is a dry sake with no alcohol taste or other unpleasant taste, and it is a perfect food sake at a high level. I wanted to try it because it seems to be available only at restaurants 🥳. I feel like I've used up all my luck for the year today. That's how lucky I've been this year! We were able to secure our second bottle of Jikkom Hakutsuru Nishiki by lottery, I was able to drink a bottle of Nabeshima Daiginjo Shizukushibori, and I was able to get the second bottle of Jikin Hakutsuru Nishiki by lottery. I'm sure I'll be able to finish Kachikoma, but I'm afraid my desire to drink it will get the better of me and I'll end up opening it someday 😭. I'm going to run out of luck and have a terrible time in the second half of this year! Back to Nabeshima Daiginjo Shizuku Shiborisan! As I mentioned to the waitress, it's soooo good✨! The lack of pressure on the sake makes it taste like it has a little bit of a tang to it, but it's really good! I've never had a "shizuku-tori" or "shizuku-shibori-style" sake before, but I was surprised at how easy it was to drink. I've been drinking a lot of luxuriously delicious sake lately, so I'm going to have to control myself or my taste buds will get fat...

It was a Fukkai nigori that I had enjoyed so much before, last time with Yamadanishiki and this time with a sake rice called Reihou. It was so good that I didn't want to miss it, so I bought it right after its release and let it sit for a while. Hmmm? The aroma is sweeter than I expected. When you drink it, the harshness of the alcohol stands out... I drank it in a wine glass with the kink in it, but it's not easy to drink. So, I transferred it to a katakuchi and then drank it at a leisurely pace with a boar's mouth, and it was quite tasty! It seems to go especially well with miso, and even miso ramen brings out the potential of the sake. It is not sweeter than the aroma, and the model-like flow of the sake, with its sizzling mouthfeel, the umami and lactic acidity from the cloudiness, and the guttural bitterness that comes out at the end, gives us a sense of security. The same may be true of other sakes, but the expression of sake can easily change depending on how it is drunk (sake cup, temperature, and food). Perhaps that is why we are so attracted to sake.
