Every time I see this sake at a liquor store, I am amazed at its cost performance. The taste, however, is as expected, with an exquisite sweetness and a long, lingering umami flavor. It is unpretentious and tasty enough for everyday drinking. The image I had of the really old days was of a sticky, sweet taste, but today's sake is really well made and completely different. It is also cosmetically pleasing, and I have changed my mind about it.
