Sweetness is at the forefront.
There are various kinds of sweetness,
It is not fruity, but rather the sweetness of the sugar is
and not so much of other flavors.

A little more acidity would have complicated the flavor, but unfortunately, there is not much more than sweetness.
Sweet and tart would be the most appropriate word to describe it. Also, the simplicity of the taste is the biggest drawback.
