I'm late drinking again, but I finally pulled it out of the 0°C storage and was able to enjoy my favorite Isun Heki, which is 2 months late. Personally, I love the honjozo type of Isun Heki for the first time, but junmai is very delicious and calm in its own way.

Whenever I return to Shizuoka, I always enjoy a stable, hot Haginishiki. Haginishiki is a niche sake that has been served in limited izakaya (Japanese style pubs) in Shizuoka since before World War II. There are many delicious sakes in Japan, but this is the one that never fails to bring me back here, even if it is a long way from home. I am grateful to have encountered it. I was drunk again tonight!

The other day on a business trip to Nagano, I purchased a bottle of Kinuka, a junmai-shu (pure rice sake) made before dawn.
