Full-bodied, with a strong rice flavor, it is delicious.
The alcohol content is high, but easy to drink. I had heard that Nikko water tastes good, so I had high expectations. I am glad I bought it.
I went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine to see the Kongo cherry blossoms at Rinnoji Temple in Nikko. This year, they bloomed early in the whole country and I was worried about the timing, but I went in mid-April and was glad to see them in full bloom. I bought a bottle at a liquor store on the approach to the shrine. It was the right choice.
It is quite delicious and ranks high in the list of sake I have had so far.
It has a gentle aroma, quite strong rice flavor, pleasantly strong acidity, and a fresh taste. The aftertaste is pleasant and long.
It is a limited edition sake and is apparently only available at a few stores in Kyoto. Outside Kyoto, it is even rarer.
I bought it immediately at the brewery's sales event.
The brewer was kind and explained it to me in a friendly manner. I followed his instagram.
I can't wait to visit Kyoto. Looking forward to the cherry blossoms.
This is the second January brew of this winter season. It is brewed three times each season.
It is rich, but refreshing, but had a longer aftertaste than the December one.
This winter season is more refreshing than the previous winter season.
I happened to have a conversation with the brewer, and he told me that they changed the yeast this winter, which makes sense.
I can't wait for the final brew in February.
Memorandum.
Next, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Next month, a new line will open with direct service between the Toyoko Line and the Sagami Line. I am looking forward to traveling to western Kanagawa.
Delicious.
Also delicious are the chocolates made in collaboration with Izumibashi Sake Brewery.
Memorandum.
Next is Ishikawa Prefecture.
This is a destination that I have been interested in recently.
It is easy to drink and you can feel the sweetness of the rice.
Memorandum.
Next is Nara.
I have not been able to visit Nara recently. I can't wait to visit temples and shrines.
It is fizzy and refreshingly fruity and refreshing, with a touch of sweetness.
Memorandum.
Next stop is Kyoto.
It is a pity that I could not go to Kyoto at the end of January to see the snowy scenery. I chose this wine for my next trip to Kyoto to see the cherry blossoms.
Light on the palate, with a slight fizziness.
I can't wait to visit Kyoto in the cherry blossoms.
