Sake purchased during a trip back to my hometown in Gunma. In the past 10 years or so, there has been an increase in the variety of delicious sake in Gunma, which was unthinkable before. I have the impression that the young master brewers are doing a particularly good job.
Higen" is new to me, but it has a fresh taste that I like. I would like to buy it again when I go back to my hometown.
It is said that sake is brewed with sake instead of water. It is truly a noble sake with a strong sweetness. It is a sake version of dessert wine.
Perfect for dessert.
The cloudy, carbonated residuals that were served with the keema curry at the end of the meal. The sake was as good as the spicy curry. As one would expect from a sake brewer.
Sake from Shiga. It is a traditional sake brewed with 1:1 koji and water. It is a solid sake, completely different from the fruity sake we have had so far today. This is very delicious 😋.
Beyond fruity, this gorgeous drink is like melon juice. Surprisingly, for its sweetness, it is not boring to drink and has no unpleasant taste. It was delicious.
This sake was purchased at a convenience store in Saku, where I was traveling. It is fire-aged, but it has a fresh aroma and a full flavor, just like a fresh sake. I liked it so much that I decided to buy some as souvenirs.
