It is undiluted sake, so expectations are high. It needs to be refrigerated, but as the temperature rises, the juiciness and fruity flavor stand out. I would prefer to drink it after a meal, not during. It's delicious.
The shop says it has a sweet fruit aroma with a smooth finish and a crisp, clean finish.
I would add that it is juicy, but not sweet, and has a bitter taste.
My first Drunken Whale. It is a dry sake that seems to become addicted, although there is not something outstanding in the impressions of other people. And the price is about 1000 yen. On the first day, I thought it had a heavy center of gravity and little acidity, but from the second day, I could feel the acidity. I found another sake I like.
It is a relatively sweet sake. It smells like champagne, but it tastes like sake. White malt is used. The price is reasonable because of the carbon dioxide gas injection method. Is it my imagination that I get drunk faster than usual?
My first Akane. It may be less sweet than Tokiwa as described, but it is still sweet for sure. However, it has a sharpness that is typical of Japanese sake, and the acidity is pleasant. A great sake to repeat.
My first Kikusen. The taste is reminiscent of its sibling, Tasake. It's a little cleaner than the Tasake. Some say it is sweet, but I think it is as dry as the Tasake. It is very easy to drink. It is very cosy. It's not sold very often.
It is called Tentakakakokoro. Junmai Daiginjo's Ikegami is a recently added series. It is 100% Yamada Nishiki. It has the sourness and umami that is typical of a traditional sake brewer, and is delicious!
