Today's sake is Kikyuusen from Nishida Sake Brewery in Aomori Prefecture, Japan❗️ its Ginjikan❗️
The aroma is a subtle ginjo sweetness❗️ sip and you'll get a refreshing and crisp ginjo taste coming to the tip of your tongue❗️ good sake⭕️
Today, the last day, we went to Hirosaki city and Hirosaki Castle!
It has been three and a half years since I became aware of Matsue Castle. It's been more than 10 years since my first visit to Matsumoto Castle. I'm so excited to have stepped on the 12 existing castle towers that I've longed to see 🙌🙌🙌🙌!
The majestic Mt. Iwaki seen from the castle. The historical appearance of the castle. And the rich gradation of the autumn leaves as they change to fall colors was a sight to behold 😌.
After lunch, we enjoyed sake time with Hirosaki's specialties! We enjoyed three different kinds of sake ✨.
Let's start with Kikusen on the left.
Aroma of pear and apple.
It is smooth and clear with a mineral taste. The umami with sourness comes slowly. The crispness that disappears nicely. It was a perfect taste for a meal!
Hi Jay & Nobby!
I like the Rurubu stst! Please let us know when it's published 🤭.
It would be interesting to compile a trip of 47 prefectures together with the records posted by Sake-no-Wawa...!
Oh, no! The one I bought in Aomori is now sold at Koyama Shoten! But it's so good and so cheap that I'm going to buy it again.
I learned during my trip to Aomori this summer that Nishida Shuzo has a brand called Kikusen.
It has a refreshing ginjo aroma on the nose. It is a very clear, light and dry sake with a sense of umami. Slightly gassy. Good cold sake. 😋😋😋😋
The sweetness is on the dry side. The quality of Nishida Sake Brewery is second to none!
I'll copy and paste my own impression.
2600 yen without tax, supposedly the regular price but 100 yen more than Asamushi Onsen in Aomori ❓❓
