Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture KIRITSUKUBA Hatsu Shibori Hon-nama Usu Nigori I had a good impression of the "Urasato" brand of sake from the Kiri-Tsukuba brewery, but this is my first time drinking "Kiri-Tsukuba". I have an image of Kiri-Tsukuba being promoted by Manachie-san. I bought a bottle of "Kiri-Tsukuba Lightly Slightly Nigori" at a liquor store in Minamiurawa today. I had fried rice and half a ramen at "Chinese Maruhachi," a famous restaurant in Minamiurawa. Just by looking at the owner's skillful cooking, I was convinced that the food would be delicious. It was delicious. The Kirizukuba is fresh and crisp. It is pressed in a tank, so it seems to have a fine texture. The quality is so good that it is hard to believe that it is priced at 1,320 yen (tax included) for a 4-pack. I am looking forward to the potential after opening the bottle and enjoying the rest later. However, I drank 3 gou in no time and have 1 gou left to go... I'm going to drink it with miso stewed tofu with motsu (pork).

This is my first time to try Kiri-Tsukuba. Is it a local brand in Urasato? The top aroma is faintly sweet. In the mouth, it is dry with a hint of sweetness, followed by a bitter nigori taste. After reading the label on the back of the bottle, I realized that it is a honjozo. There was no particular alkali taste that bothered me. I wonder if a little was added to give it a sharpness. I am looking forward to Urasato's nigori, too! It was delicious 🍶.

The last of today's tasting series (3). This is "Kirizukuba Hatsushushibori Usu nigori" from Urasato Sake Brewery in Ibaraki. This is the first pressing of R5BY by Toji Chikara Urasato. He is a very humble man, but unusually, he told us, "I don't recommend the four-pack bottles, because you will finish it in no time and have to buy a new one! He said, "I don't recommend the four-bottle one. I will get a 4-bottle later, but I couldn't resist tasting it 🤤. The appearance is a light cloudy color with a clear feeling. The aroma is sweet and fresh with green apple and young melon, and rice aroma like white dumplings. The mouthfeel is smooth as if it soaks into the palate, then the refreshing acidity, the rice flavor of the tailings, and a slight sweetness spreads quickly in the mouth and finishes off. There is a light astringency on the tongue. There is a slight alcohol taste in the lingering aftertaste. There is no hook anywhere, just a sense of pleasant flavors passing by. ☺️ This is definitely a bottle of sake that would kill a four-pack 😊. You have to look at the specs to know it's an Aruze 😳 I'll try it lukewarm 🍶. I don't know what it is but the softened flavor is just delicious 🥰. Atz hot sake too 🍶. It has a ricey feel to it but it's mellow and goes in and out easily 🥰. What the heck, it's delicious 😳 I wonder what will happen to the Urasato light nigori next week 🤣. Anyway, thank you for the food 🍶.

I saw it for the first time, so I grabbed it. It has a more gorgeous aroma and a longer aftertaste than the Junmai Ginjo Kirizukuba. The aftertaste is dry. Very much to my liking.

I opened a bottle the day I got back from camping 🍊 because I had a lot of souvenirs recently and I wanted to relieve the depression of not having enough alcohol at the camp. I saw it on Manachie's post and stocked up 😁. It smells fruity, but is it citrus? I closed my eyes and sniffed it 🍊? I think it is 🍊? That's how my nose works 😓. In the mouth it was sweeter than I expected 😳 followed by a sourness and a bitter taste like the peel of a mandarin orange! 🍊This is the kind you can guzzle at 13 degrees 😱. Even though it's fruity, the sourness and bitterness made it go well with the high quality pickled plums we happened to receive 🥰Priced pickled plums and sake are the best ✨.

I found one that I tasted and enjoyed 😆‼️ Mikan 🍊 in Kiritsukuba The aroma is slightly sugary + fruit jelly like. It has a full, soft, sugary sweetness, with a really tasty tartness and sourness like mandarin oranges. When swallowed, this sourness makes the taste refreshing 😆. This is so good 😋. I paired it with tuna fish paste and dumplings and it goes well with both. ❤️ It's sweet but not overly sweet and sour so it's very easy to drink and good as a food wine 😆. As the back label says, it goes well with most foods that citrus goes well with, so as long as it's not super strong Chinese food or something like that 👌 If it's too cold, you can feel a little bit of alcohol, so I think it tastes best if it's not too cold 😋. Urasato's sake yeast, this mikan, and the recently released ones are all too good. ☺️ I'm afraid that if it becomes more famous, it will become a difficult brand to get, so please keep it quiet and focus on Ibaraki. [First brand I've been able to drink in about 10 years👍] I got a bottle of Kiri-Tsukuba's light nigori nama-zake (unpasteurized sake) from a hometown tax payment. It is a popular brand that is consumed almost exclusively locally, but it appears that there was some new sake left from last year that will be shipped in December 2022. ✌️ Although it has been over a year, it has not lost much of its freshness with a slight effervescence, and on the other hand, it has a moderate calmness that is quite nice 😋. It has a sweetness, but the refreshing alcohol taste and crispness are the result of the aluzochu liqueur. Like last month's Onra, it's nice to be able to get a brand that is hard to find through hometown tax payment 😆.

Comparing Tsukuba's sake. The Junmai Ginjo required refrigeration, so I kept both of them chilled. The special junmai has a banana-like aroma, a smooth sweet and sour taste, and a good umami. It can be served at any temperature. The Junmai Ginjo has a rather subdued aroma and a light sweetness characteristic of low-alcohol sake. The label on the back of the bottle reads, "It's like white rice.
