Last weekend, I had another day off, so I took the kids to a park a little ways away.
We went to Hamanako Pal Pal on GW, but I was surprised to find that there were surprisingly few things for both of us to play together, such as playground equipment that neither of us can play on and equipment that only my older daughter can play on 😲.
My birthday is coming up in the summer, so I think there will be more things for both of us to play together next time 🥰.
Now, after putting the kids to bed, let's have a drink tonight 🍶.
Kurosawa Namahashi, Shinshu Secret Sake Hanpukai GOLD
[Glass.]
Aroma of mellow rice with a hint of sake yeast, penetrating umami with a clean mouthfeel, soft acidity and a firm bitterness in the finish.
[Mokkiri.]
Slightly woody aroma like Japanese cypress, smooth umami with a clean mouthfeel, a hint of sweetness and acidity, and a firm bitterness on the finish.
The sake is refreshing, yet accented by a strong bitterness in the aftertaste, a taste I had never experienced before. The curiosity of "What's this sake?
I tried heating up the sake, which I saw on SNS, but the bitter part of the taste was softened and turned into sweetness, and I felt a slightly tangy, savory, nutty taste, which was also delicious.
The entrée is "Isoage" and "Kakinoha Sushi" that I bought at Taga SA on the way back from the park 🍴.
The fourth one is "Egg Hunt" from Napoli, a pasta restaurant in Fukui City that specializes in pasta with starchy sauce 🍝.
I sometimes feel like eating it 🥰.
Good evening, Mr. Jive.
I've never seen Mr. Kurosawa outside of Sakewa, but I've seen a sake from Nagano Prefecture that [what's this sake? I'm curious to know what it's like 😁✨✨.
I think it would be nice to change the taste by heating up the sake 😋.
Good evening, Jive 🤗.
Thanks for your expedition from Shizuoka to Fukui 🚗! I'm sure the kids had a great time 🤗☺️☺️☺️. The sake looks delicious, but I'm sure the specialties of each prefecture will enhance it even more!
Hi Gyve 😃
I see 🧐I think there was a playground for different age groups...it was a distant memory 😌.
I'd love to taste 😋 and feel Mr. Kurosawa's natural sake flavor 😙.
Hi Gyve 🐦.
I think I saw some Kurosawa in Shinshu, but there are so many brands anyway 💦 I can drink even the ones I don't know, that's the good thing about hanpukai!
I'll check out your snacks next time I'm in SA since it's always something sweet 😁.
Good evening, ma-ki🌛.
The taste nuance of this sake was similar to that of a distilled spirit [gin] ✨.
I felt that there are many variations of Nagano sake 🥰.
Good evening, Heppoko-san 🌛.
I went to Toyohashi city in Aichi prefecture for work about 2 years ago, but it's still a long way 😅I was tired from driving 😮💨
I didn't think I would have enough time to buy some food if I had to go back to my hometown, so I made it quick 🥰.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 🌛.
I wrote "playground equipment" for the sake of character count, but it's actually an attraction 🎡.
There are severe height and age restrictions 😅.
It was one that made me feel the rich nature of Nagano 🥰.
Good evening, Pon-chan 🌛.
When you go to a well-known liquor store in Shinshu, you will be overwhelmed by the variety of brands they have 🤣.
I'm not a fan of the taste system, but on the other hand, it's an intoxicating experience to be able to drink bottles that I wouldn't have gone through myself ✨.
Kurosawa's own rice, Yamae-Nishiki.
The Shinshu Secret Sake Hanpukai has started again this year!
The first item is a Kurosawa brewed with Yamae-Nishiki rice grown in-house and directly pumped by the toji himself.
It has a mellow aroma like a ripe banana and a thick texture on the palate with a honey-like sweetness. It has a dense umami and firm acidity with a clean finish.
When served warm, the umami spreads further and the depth of flavor increases!
It is an ambitious work with a freshness and a light aftertaste rather than the Kurosawa gravity that one might imagine.
Shinshu secret sake hanpukai I ordered again this year.
We will start with Kurosawa.
The label is green, so it doesn't look like Kurosawa.
It's more like a delicious astringent acidity.
It's a delicious sake that never gets tired and I ended up drinking too much of it.
I hope you all enjoy the last holiday of the year. Have a good day.
easy to drink
Slightly effervescent
I was only allowed to taste some of the spillage, but there was a slight bitterness? I could taste a slight bitterness.
Not an unpleasant bitterness.
Rice
Ingredients: rice (domestic), rice malt (domestic)
Ingredient rice: 100% Yamae-Nishiki rice grown in-house in Sakuho-cho, Nagano Prefecture
Alcohol content: 16.5
When I come back from Nagano, I get off at Omiya and take either the Shonan Shinjuku Line or Saikyo Line. Recently, I often take the Saikyo Line, which is empty due to good timing. Yesterday, heavy rain and strong winds caused stones to get on the tracks and it took some time to remove them, so I arrived at Shinjuku 55 minutes late. I am glad I arrived. When the train was suspended at Musashiurawa on the way to the station, saying "I don't know when it will move," I didn't know how to get home because I didn't know where I was going😅.
I was so exhausted that I decided to have a drink. I think my liver is mad 🤣.
I wanted to drink it slowly rather than chilling it, so I had it at room temperature and drank it cold. The sweetness is moderate, the acidity is strong, and the richness of the flavor permeates every cell in your body. It is delicious. I have come to like Kurosawa very much thanks to my favorite standing bar.
Golden Week for me started with falling asleep as usual 😂.
Hi Ane ☀☀☀☀.
Thanks for coming home so late due to the disruption in the timetable 🙇 I ordered the hanpukai this year and am currently stocking it in my cellar.
I too ordered the hanpukai this year and am currently stocking it in my cellar, I'm going to enjoy the changes as I raise the temperature from cold sake 🥰.
Good morning, Gyve 😃.
Have you signed up for the hanpukai? It's so much fun to come across sakes I wouldn't normally buy 😁.
I love that this label is green, it's so seasonal 🎶.
I was in Matsumoto, Shinshu, and saw a strong copy of "Polishing is not the only thing for the brain!
I saw a strong copy and bought it.
The antithesis of the rice polishing competition? I agree!
It tastes good with a little bitterness!
Astringent and refreshing!
Slightly fresh, with a predominant acidity and astringency.
The label is austere, but the taste is austere too!
Good as a food wine!
It's dry, but also acidic and delicious, with just a hint of grapefruit flavored rice cider.
Nama-hashimoto, light cloudy, a reasonable amount of effervescence, 80% polished rice, and a price in the low 2000 yen range for a bottle, there are only elements I like about it. I found myself with an open bottle.
I am glad that a liquor store near me has started carrying it.
Nemophila flowers in a nearby park are beautiful.
