I picked up the sake because the owner told me that "Niigata Prefecture is said to have the largest number of breweries in Japan, and many of the breweries have a large number of honjozo (sake brewed from pure sake). It was indeed a very impressive sake.

A standard sake of Kenkunichi. Purchased at the local Maruichi Sake Shop where the brewery is located. The crisp taste of cold sake is hard to ignore, but we are looking forward to seeing it warmed up.
