Ryusen Yaezakura
(Ryusen Yaezakura)
Special Junmai
Made with water from Ryusendo
Polishing ratio 60
Izumikin Sake Brewery
Iwaizumi-cho, Shimojimi-gun, Iwate
Purchased at Lawson in front of Morioka Station. Polished rice 60%.
The aroma is like sulfur.
When you put it in your mouth, it is round and mellow for a moment, but then it is very dry. The spiciness lingers in the aftertaste, too.
The spiciness does not weaken so much even if you match it with something strong in flavor. It's not a food sake...maybe it would be better if it were heated up.
New Year's party of an industry group.
Next was Yaezakura Daiginjo.
Like Junmai Ginjo, it is described as light and dry.
It was served at room temperature.
It was indeed light and dry like the Junmai Ginjo.
Compared to Hi no Tori, it has a slight sweetness.
It can be served with any dishes.
Both types of sake were purchased, so the bill was separate from the all-you-can-drink bill.
So, if you have extra, you can take it home.
Some tables drank all of the sake, but some took some home with happy faces, which was quite nice (laughs).
I gave the manager of the bank we do business with half of the leftovers to take home, and he was very happy.
Next month, we plan to hold a sake drinking party with the staff of the branch.
The sake is already lined up in the hallway where the sun don't shine (laugh).
The Wuhan pneumonia has calmed down considerably.
The influenza will be ready anytime as soon as it settles down (laugh).
P.S.
When the heating is turned off, the cold slowly creeps in.
I wonder if spring is really coming. I am beginning to wonder if spring is really coming.
I hope you all take care of yourselves.
Thank you very much.
Hello 😃
I often see Ryusen Yaezakura's but I've never seen a label like this 😮.
I heard they are going to change some of the labels this season, is this one of those sake? 🤔
Hello, etorannzyu! (^o^)
I don't see Daiginjo in stores very often.
Iwaizumi's sake brewery has it.
I think Kibune-san had a new sake that was a medium or something.
They are going to change it gradually.
Good evening! (^○^)
Today was the New Year's drinking party of an industry group.
Usually, the drinking party is a simple all-you-can-drink affair, but I didn't want to drink sake that wasn't good, so I asked the office staff to prepare junmai ginjo and daiginjo from the Izumikin Shuzo brewery.
First, Junmai Ginjo "Fire Bird Label."
A person named Hikaru Michimata expressed the character "bird" in seal script as the label.
For details, please read the second page.
Serve at room temperature.
It has a refreshing taste as described as "light and dry.
As it rolls on the tongue, you can feel the fullness of the rice.
It is a perfect match for any kind of food.
I am glad I chose this one.
It was delicious!
P.S. 1
Before the New Year's party, the chief of the traffic section of the local police station gave a lecture.
He told us that the Iwate Prefectural Police is taking top priority measures against elderly people and drunk driving.
No, I'm about to go out for a drink.
The chief knew what he was talking about and politely asked us to be careful not to drink in a way that would leave a lasting impression on us tomorrow.
P.S. 2
Today's minimum temperature is 11.5°C, up 5°C from yesterday.
The cold air is building up inside the house and the drain pipe of the washing machine is frozen.

Sake tasted and purchased at the Hankyu event
It had a slight aroma at first, then a rich, but not cloying, deep sweetness that spread through the mouth (like dried fruit) and passed through the nostrils. It was a very delicious sake. The sweetness is not so strong, so I enjoyed it as a food sake. (The case says it is best served cold or at room temperature.)
It was delicious!
Taste local once in a while.
So today, Yaezakura(eight) and Hamamusume.
They are limited brands for the sake shop's hanpukai (distribution).
I guess there are many people who don't know about it.
It is another brand of Yaezakura sake from Iwaizumi Town, which is famous for Ryusendo Cave.
It was well received at the hanpukai, so it may or may not go on sale to the general public in the near future.
The aroma is along the lines of Imi and Tagaji.
Compared to Hamamusume, it has a thicker sweetness and aftertaste.
A rare type of sake in Iwate Prefecture.
I recently purchased this at a produce market in the station.
I only found Iwate Akatake at the market.
Since I was there, I asked for the sake that the locals drink and they recommended it to me.
The flavor, with a hint of nama yeast, went well with the seafood.
Eririn-san gave us matsutake sake and chocolate cookies as gifts at the Tohoku Off-line Meeting!
Tonight we opened a bottle of this sake while relaxing at the hotel watching TV🍶.
Pouring it into a glass and smelling the aroma, I could smell the slight scent of matsutake mushrooms!
It seems to be a liqueur!
I took a short break today while sipping it.
Before drinking, I had a bowl of Hokkaido Ramen Salad to replenish my veggies!
A few words on the subject
Ryusen Yaezakura is soaked in Iwaizumi's specialty Matsutake mushrooms and carefully polished. The golden beauty and mellow aroma will make the drinker's body and soul healthy.... Enjoy the elegant taste.
Taste Characteristics: Mellow and delicious
How to drink: Cold or lukewarm

I thought it was a sake from a brewery not in your review😊.
I was worried about the drinking set, but 3 small bottles were heavy 😅.
Eririn-san, the sake was like steaming in a clay pot with matsutake mushrooms. I think if you heat it up, it will have more flavor and you will drink more of it. This time I drank it not so cold, so I kept it to one cup. Stay tuned for the next time!
It was Junmai Daiginjo Yuzunokou from Izumikin Shuzo, a mostly local brewery.
It had been canceled due to Wuhan pneumonia, but since they were having their first general meeting & get-together in 3 years, I asked the hotel to specially serve it to me instead of having all-you-can-drink.
When I drank it before, it was a little alcoholic because I drank it chilled, and I thought it aged a little on the second day and was easy to drink.
This time, it was at room temperature, so I wondered how it would be. I wondered, but it had a soft aroma and was easy to drink.
It was totally "fine water!" (^○^)
It goes in easily with any ingredients.
The label was designed with overseas sales in mind.
It comes with an English explanation.
I don't know if it sells well or not.
Very tasty! ( ´ ´ ´ ) No.
